Abstract

A navigation apparatus includes a positioning unit configured to measure a current position, a route guidance screen generation unit configured to generate a route guidance screen used for route guidance for a retrieved route from the current position to a destination and display the route guidance screen on a display unit, and a guidance image generation unit configured to, in a case where a remaining distance between the current position and the destination is a predetermined value or less while route guidance is performed using the route guidance screen, generate a guidance image in which a display subject representing the destination is highlighted such that the display subject is more prominently displayed than a vicinity of the display subject and display the guidance image on the display unit.

Claims

1. An information processing apparatus comprising:

a processor and a memory configured to store instructions which, when executed by the processor, control;

transmitting destination information to a server;

receiving a three-dimensional guidance image including at least an image of a destination building from the server, in which the three-dimensional guidance image is according to a view point of the information processing apparatus; and

displaying the image of the destination building and an image of another building, in the three-dimensional guidance image,

in which the displaying includes changing a display of the another building so that the image of the destination building is more visible than the image of the another building, when the another building overlaps the destination building from the view point of the information processing apparatus.

2. The information processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on distance information.

3. The information processing apparatus of claim 1, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on an estimated angle.

4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed at a predetermined angle.

The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building.

6. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which a user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

7. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein, immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building, the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which the user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

8. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed in a predetermined color.

9. An information processing method comprising:

controlling, by a processor,

transmitting destination information to a server;

receiving a three-dimensional guidance image including at least an image of a destination building from the server, in which the three-dimensional guidance image is according to a view point of an information processing apparatus; and

displaying the image of the destination building and an image of another building, in the three-dimensional guidance image,

in which the displaying includes changing a display of the another building so that the image of the destination building is more visible than the image of the another building when the another building overlaps the destination building from the view point of the information processing apparatus.

10. The information processing method of claim 9, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on distance information.

11. The information processing method of claim 9, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on an estimated angle.

12. The information processing method according to claim 9, wherein the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed at a predetermined angle.

13. The information processing method according to claim 9, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building.

14. The information processing method according to claim 9, wherein the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which a user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

15. The information processing method according to claim 9, wherein, immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building, the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which the user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

16. The information processing method according to claim 9, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed in a predetermined color.

17. A non-transitory recording medium configured to record a program executable by a computer, the program comprising:

transmitting destination information to a server;

receiving a three-dimensional guidance image including at least an image of a destination building from the server, in which the three-dimensional guidance image is according to a view point of an information processing apparatus; and

displaying the image of the destination building and an image of another building, in the three-dimensional guidance image,

in which the displaying includes changing a display of the another building so that the image of the destination building is more visible than the image of the another building when the another building overlaps the destination building from the view point of the information processing apparatus.

18. The recording medium of claim 17, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on distance information.

19. The recording medium of claim 17, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on an estimated angle.

20. The recording medium of claim 17, wherein the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed at a predetermined angle.

21. The recording medium of claim 17, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building.

22. The recording medium of claim 17, wherein the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which a user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

23. The recording medium of claim 17, wherein, immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building, the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which the user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

24. The recording medium of claim 17, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed in a predetermined color.

25. An information processing apparatus comprising:

a processor and a memory configured to store instructions which, when executed by the processor, control;

receiving destination information from another information processing apparatus;

transmitting a three-dimensional guidance image including at least an image of a destination building to the another information processing apparatus, in which the three-dimensional guidance image is according to a view point of the another information processing apparatus; and

generating the image of the destination building and an image of another building, in the three-dimensional guidance image,

in which the generating includes changing a display of the another building so that, when the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed, the image of the destination building is more visible than the image of the another building when the another building overlaps the destination building from the view point of the another information processing apparatus.

26. The information processing apparatus of claim 25, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on distance information.

27. The information processing apparatus of claim 25, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is based on an estimated angle.

28. The information processing apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed at a predetermined angle.

29. The information processing apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is generated to be viewed immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building.

30. The information processing apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which a user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

31. The information processing apparatus according to claim 25, wherein, immediately after a user has passed through a guidance point that is at a predetermined distance from the destination building and at which the user is notified that the user is near the destination building, the image of the destination building, in the three-dimensional guidance image, is displayed as viewed from a destination arrival guidance point at which the user is notified that the user has arrived at a vicinity of the destination building.

32. The information processing apparatus according to claim 25, wherein the three-dimensional guidance image is displayed in a predetermined color.
