Abstract

A wireless power delivery system includes a wireless charging pad and a pad covering device. The wireless charging pad includes a first antenna to provide wireless power to a first information handling system. The pad covering device is in physical communication with the wireless charging pad. The pad covering device includes a cover located within the pad covering device. The cover to extend from the pad covering device, to cover the wireless charging pad, and to lock with the wireless charging pad to securely cover the wireless charging pad.

Claims

1. A wireless power delivery system comprising:

a wireless charging pad including an antenna to provide wireless power to an information handling system; and

a pad covering device in physical contact with the wireless charging pad, the pad covering device including;

a cover located within the pad covering device, the cover to extend from the pad covering device, to cover the wireless charging pad, and to lock with the wireless charging pad to securely cover the wireless charging pad, wherein the cover is located within the rear portion of the pad covering device in response to the cover being in a first position and the cover extends over the wireless charging pad in response to the cover being in a second position.

2. The wireless power delivery system of claim 1, wherein the pad covering device further includes:

a rear portion;

first and second side portions; and

a channel within the rear portion, the first side portion, and the second side portion, the channel to provide a guide for the cover as the cover is extended from the rear portion of the pad covering device.

3. The wireless power delivery system of claim 1, the pad covering device further includes:

a roller located within the pad covering device, the roller connected to a first end of the cover; and

a pin connected in between the roller and a surface of the pad covering device, the pin to enable the roller to rotate within the pad covering device in response to the cover being extended from the pad covering device.

The wireless power delivery system of claim 1, wherein the cover includes a first locking mechanism and the wireless charging pad further includes second locking mechanism, the cover is securely connected to the wireless charging pad in response to the first locking mechanism locking with the second locking mechanism.

5. The wireless power delivery system of claim 4, wherein the information handling system is located in between the wireless charging pad and the cover in response to the first locking mechanism locking with the second locking mechanism.

6. The wireless power delivery system of claim 1, wherein the cover is made from an opaque durable material.

7. A wireless power delivery system comprising:

a wireless charging pad including an antenna to provide wireless power to an information handling system; and

a pad covering device in physical contact with the wireless charging pad, the pad covering device including;

a rear portion;

a roller located within the pad covering device; and

a cover located within the rear portion the pad covering device, the cover having a first edge connected to the roller, the cover to extend from the pad covering device, to cover the wireless charging pad, and to lock with the wireless charging pad to securely cover the wireless charging pad, wherein the cover is located within the rear portion of the pad covering device in response to the cover being in a first position and the cover extends over the wireless charging pad in response to the cover being in a second position.

8. The wireless power delivery system of claim 7, wherein the pad covering device further includes:

first and second side portions; and

a channel within the rear portion, the first side portion, and the second side portion, the channel to provide a guide for the cover as the cover is extended from within the rear portion of the pad covering device.

9. The wireless power delivery system of claim 7, wherein the pad covering device further includes:

a channel within the rear portion, the channel to enable the cover to extend from within the rear portion of the pad covering device.

10. The wireless power delivery system of claim 7, the pad covering device further includes:

a pin connected in between the roller and a surface of the pad covering device, the pin to enable the roller to rotate within the pad covering device in response to the cover being extended from the pad covering device.

The wireless power delivery system of claim 7, wherein the cover includes a first locking mechanism and the wireless charging pad further includes second locking mechanism, the cover is securely connected to the wireless charging pad in response to the first locking mechanism locking with the second locking mechanism.

12. The wireless power delivery system of claim 11, wherein the information handling system is located in between the wireless charging pad and the cover in response to the first locking mechanism locking with the second locking mechanism.

13. The wireless power delivery system of claim 7, wherein the cover is made from an opaque durable material.

14. A wireless power delivery system comprising:

a wireless charging pad including an antenna to provide wireless power to an information handling system; and

a pad covering device in physical contact with the wireless charging pad, the pad covering device including;

a cover located within the pad covering device, the cover to rotate from a first position to a second position, to cover the wireless charging pad when the cover is in the second position, and to lock with the wireless charging pad to securely cover the wireless charging pad.

15. The wireless power delivery system of claim 14, wherein the pad covering device further includes:

a rear portion; and

a hinge connected in between the rear portion and the cover, the hinge to enable the cover to rotate from a first position to a second position.

The wireless power delivery system of claim 14, wherein the cover includes a first locking mechanism and the wireless charging pad further includes second locking mechanism, the cover is securely connected to the wireless charging pad in response to the first locking mechanism locking with the second locking mechanism.

17. The wireless power delivery system of claim 16, wherein the information handling system is located in between the wireless charging pad and the cover in response to the first locking mechanism locking with the second locking mechanism.

18. The wireless power delivery system of claim 14, wherein the cover is made from an opaque durable material.
