1. A method comprising, by one or more processors associated with one or more servers for a social network:

  • receiving, by the one or more processors, group information associated with a group, the group information comprising a name of the group, a description of the group, and a list of members of the group;

    associating, by the one or more processors, a unique group identifier with the group information, wherein the unique group identifier is different from unique group identifiers associated with other groups defined in the social network;

    storing, by the one or more processors, the unique group identifier and the group information;

    receiving, by the one or more processors, a search request comprising one or more search parameters, the search parameters including a parameter relating to the name or description of the group;

    determining, by the one or more processors, that the search parameter relating to the name or description of the group matches at least a portion of the group information;

    determining, by the one or more processors, at least one matching user of the social network who matches the search request and is a member of the group;

    retrieving, by the one or more processors, a content identifier and a source identifier using a user identifier associated with the matching user, wherein the content identifier is associated with content information provided by a third-party content source and the source identifier identifies a configuration for generating an embed code for accessing the content information;

    retrieving, by the one or more processors, the configuration based on at least the source identifier;

    generating, by the one or more processors, an embed code for the content information using at least the retrieved configuration and the content identifier;

    sending, by the one or more processors, in response to the search request, a page containing the generated embed code for the content information provided by the third-party content source.
