Integration of neurostimulator programming modes
First Claim
1. A non-transitory machine-readable medium including instructions, which when executed by a machine, cause the machine to:
- receive user input via a programming selection control element to select between or among at least two programming modes, which differ from each other, for a neurostimulation device coupled to a plurality of electrodes, wherein a first programming mode has a first electrode configuration;
respond to the user input by instructing the neurostimulation device to switch from the first programming mode to another programming mode;
define another electrode configuration for the other programming mode based on the first electrode configuration;
generate a stimulation parameter set corresponding to the other electrode configuration; and
generate instructions for the neurostimulation device to convey electrical energy to the plurality of electrodes in accordance with the stimulation parameter set.

Abstract
A system and method for programming a neurostimulation device coupled to a plurality of electrodes implanted adjacent tissue of a patient are provided. A first electrode configuration corresponding to a first mode of programming the neurostimulation device is defined. A second programming mode of programming the neurostimulation device different from the first programming mode is selected. A second electrode configuration is defined based on the first electrode configuration in response to the selection of the second programming mode. The neurostimulation device is programmed using the second programming mode.

15. A non-transitory machine-readable medium including instructions, which when executed by a machine, cause the machine to:
-
receive a user input to select one of different programming modes for a neurostimulation device coupled to a plurality of electrodes; respond to the user input instructing the neurostimulation device to switch from another one of the different programming modes with a first electrode configuration to the selected one of the different programming modes with another electrode configuration, wherein each of the electrode configurations is a fractionalized electrode configuration; define the other electrode configuration for the other programming mode based on the first electrode configuration; generate a stimulation parameter set corresponding to the other electrode configuration; and generate instructions for the neurostimulation device to convey electrical energy to the plurality of electrodes in accordance with the stimulation parameter set. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
