1. A computer system for supervising an online contest between two or more players playing the contest on the computer system, comprising:
- a processor;
a memory;
software stored on a non-transitory, computer-readable medium which, when loaded into the memory and run by the processor, causes the processor to perform steps of;
providing the players with first elements to play a first round in the contest, wherein the players each take a turn to score points in each round in the contest using elements provided, including the first elements;
maintaining, in the memory of the computer system, a record of a maximum number of points that each player could possibly score in the first round based on possible plays of the first elements;
determining second elements to provide the players in a second round in the contest, wherein the second elements are non-randomly created such that each player of the contest has a possibility to score a same total number of points from a sum of points scored by the player in the first round and the second round; and
providing the players with the second elements to play a second round.

Abstract
The system and methods of the present application comprise one or more computers for substantially removing the element of chance in a contest that would normally be on whose outcome would be determined by a mixture of chance and skill. The system comprises one or more computers that interact with a user in order to reduce or eliminate the elements of chance, thereby forcing the contest to obey the law of averages within a finite number of iterations of the contest, thereby reducing variance and increasing the success of skillful players.
