Abstract

The present invention provides arylpiperazine derivatives having Formula I as shown below, which can be advantageously used for treating schizophrenia and related psychoses such as acute manic, bipolar disorder, autistic disorder, and depression,

Claims

1. A compound having the formula below or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or isomer thereof:

2. The compound of claim 1, wherein R¹=2-Cl and R²=3-Cl.

3. The compound of claim 1, wherein R¹=2-OMe and R²=H.

4. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluent.

5. A method of treating psychoses, schizophrenia, acute mania, bipolar disorder, autistic disorder or depression, the method comprising administering to a patient in need thereof the pharmaceutical formulation according to claim 4.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein said method treats schizophrenia.

7. The method of claim 5, wherein said method treats bipolar disorder.
