1. A luminaire comprising:
- an electronics module, receiving a first control signal to control a pointing direction of a light output of the luminaire, and receiving power,said first control signal received from a remote controller;
a head of the luminaire, having a controllable light source therein, said head being movable in both pan and tilt directions in response to said first control signal, and where moving in the pan and tilt directions is carried out responsive to the first control signal, and changes said pointing direction of the light output of the luminaire;
a first camera attached to said head, and pointing in said pointing direction to receive the same field of view as the light output of the luminaire, said first camera providing a first camera output that points in a same direction as said head, when said head is moved, said first camera providing output indicative of a wide field of view;
a second camera attached to said head, also pointing in said pointing direction to receive the same field of view as the light output of the luminaire, and providing a second camera output that points in a same direction as said head, in all positions of said head as said head is moved, so that both the first and second cameras always point in the pointing direction to receive the same field of view as the light output of the luminaire,said second camera providing output indicative of a magnified narrow field of view,said first camera and said second camera receiving power from said electronics module, and said first camera and said second camera providing both said first camera output and said second camera output respectively to said electronics module, and where said electronics module couples said first camera output and said second camera output to said remote controller.

Abstract
A remote follow spot system includes a remote controller that has separately movable parts that are movable in two orthogonal directions, and a display attached to one of said two separately movable parts. The display receives a video feed from a controlled light, that is controlled to move in the same directions as remote controller. The display hence shows the field of view where the light is pointing. In this way, an operator of the follow spot can control the light without physically being near the light.
