1. A wellbore servicing system comprising:

  • a controller node disposed within a wellbore, wherein the controller node is connected to one or more components located at a surface of the wellbore via a wired connection; and

    a second node configured for release into the wellbore and movement through the wellbore in response to movement of fluid through the wellbore;

    wherein the second node communicates with the controller node via a near field communication (NFC) signal,wherein the controller node is configured to communicate a command signal to the second node effective to cause the second node to begin outputting an electromagnetic signal transmission, and wherein the second node continues to output the electromagnetic signal transmission after the second node has moved past and out of NFC signal range with the controller node.
