1. A device for securing a medical device having a suture tab to a patient'"'"'s body, the device comprising:
- a pad having a first surface for facing a patient and a second surface opposed to the first surface;
a tab receiving portion disposed on the second surface of the pad and along a side edge of the pad, the tab receiving portion defining a cavity that is enclosed except for an opening along the side edge, the opening being parallel to the side edge and perpendicular to an axis of the medical device when the suture tab of the medical device is disposed in the cavity, the cavity being enclosed along a side of the tab receiving portion that is opposite to the side edge; and
a downwardly extending post that is coupled to and that extends from an inside top surface of the tab receiving portion towards the pad.

Described herein are catheter securement devices that can be used to secure catheters, catheter hubs and other medical devices to the body of a patient. The catheter securement devices can include an adhesive pad and engagement tabs with a slide locking feature. Adaptors can be used to provide suture tabs to catheters that lack suture tabs.
