1. A device, comprising:
- a processing system including a processor; and
a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, comprising;
analyzing a first signal interference to a first communication signal of a wireless communication system to determine an error rate affecting network traffic carried by the first communication signal;
determining a priority of the first signal interference to the first communication signal according to the error rate affecting the network traffic;
disregarding the first signal interference to the first communication signal if the priority of the first signal interference is below a threshold;
identifying a source of the first signal interference to the first communication signal of the wireless communication system according to a first interference profile of the first signal interference;
retrieving an interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified; and
transmitting to a mobile communication device the interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified, wherein the mobile communication device selects a digital filter type for processing the first communication signal according to the interference parameter, and wherein the digital filter type mitigates the first signal interference of the first communication signal.

Abstract
A system includes a method for detecting a signal interference in a communication signal of a wireless communication system. An identified source of the signal interference is determined according to an interference profile of a plurality of interference profiles associated with an interference profile library having information that approximates characteristics of the signal interference. The signal interference of the communication signal is mitigated according to an interference parameter associated with the identified source by filtering the communication signal according to the interference parameter.

analyzing a first signal interference to a first communication signal of a wireless communication system to determine an error rate affecting network traffic carried by the first communication signal; determining a priority of the first signal interference to the first communication signal according to the error rate affecting the network traffic; disregarding the first signal interference to the first communication signal if the priority of the first signal interference is below a threshold; comparing, by the system, the first signal interference to the first communication signal with a plurality of interference profiles of an interference profile library; identifying a source of the first signal interference according to at least approximate matching between the first signal interference and an interference profile of the plurality of interference profiles of the interference profile library based on the comparing; and transmitting to a mobile communication device an interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified, wherein the mobile communication device selects a digital filter type for processing the first communication signal according to the interference parameter. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18)

disregarding, by a processing system including a processor, a first signal interference to a first communication signal of a wireless communication system if a priority of the first signal interference is below a threshold, wherein the priority is determined according to an error rate affecting network traffic carried by the first communication signal; identifying, by the processing system, a source of the first signal interference to the first communication signal of the wireless communication system according to a first interference profile of the first signal interference; and transmitting, by the processing system, to a mobile communication device an interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified, wherein the mobile communication device selects a digital filter type for processing the first communication signal according to the interference parameter. - View Dependent Claims (20)
