1. An endoscope for inspecting or applying therapy to an inner body cavity of a patient, including,a shell, illuminating means fixedly positioned in the shell, imaging means fixedly positioned in the shell, there being a lumen within the shell, and a core removably disposed within the lumen in the shell in sealing relationship with the shell with the illuminating means and the imaging means exterior in the shell to the core, the core having proximal and distal ends and including (a) a first passageway disposed longitudinally within the core from the proximal end to the distal end for providing for a removal of materials from the inner body cavity of the patient, and (b) a second passageway disposed longitudinally within the core from the proximal end to the distal end for applying a fluid to selected areas of the shell or inner body cavity of the patient to clean such selected areas or to inflate such cavity with gas.
