1. An external medical device, comprising:

  • a plurality of sensors configured to be removably attached to a body of a patient and to sense data indicative of a medical condition of the patient, the plurality of sensors including a plurality of electrodes configured to sense cardiac data of the patient;

    at least one therapy pad configured to deliver an electrical therapy to the patient;

    at least one button configured to be actuated by the patient;

    at least one audio device; and

    at least one processing unit disposed in the external medical device configured to detect an arrhythmia in the patient,the at least one processing unit configured to cause the at least one audio device to deliver a voice message instructing the patient to press the at least one button to avoid delivery of the electrical therapy to the patient;

    wherein the at least one processing unit is further configured to delay delivery of the electrical therapy to the patient responsive to the patient pressing the at least one button.
