Abstract

According to an aspect of this disclosure, a radio communication device is provided comprising a first transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Cellular Wide Area radio communication technology; a second transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Short Range radio communication technology or a Metropolitan Area System radio communication technology; a first processor configured to control the first transceiver; and a second processor configured to control the second transceiver wherein the first processor is configured to control the first transceiver to transmit signals in accordance with a predefined transmitting schedule, wherein the first processor is further configured to control the first transceiver to omit transmitting signals within at least one of a time period and a frequency band provided for signal transmission of the first transceiver in accordance with the predefined transmitting schedule.

Claims

1. A radio communication device, comprising:

a first transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Cellular Wide Area radio communication technology;

a second transceiver configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Short Range radio communication technology or a Metropolitan Area System radio communication technology;

a first processor configured to control the first transceiver;

a second processor configured to control the second transceiver;

wherein the first processor is configured to control the first transceiver to transmit signals based on a pre-defined de-sensing target for the first transceiver, wherein the first processor is further configured to control the first transceiver to omit transmitting signals within at least one of a time period and a frequency band provided for signal transmission of the first transceiver when a de-sensing level is below the de-sensing target;

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the first transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals in accordance with a characteristic of the selection of the processes wherein the at least one of the time period and the frequency band overlap with a plurality of different transmission processes; and

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the first transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals in accordance with an automatic repeat request mechanism provided in accordance with the Cellular Wide Area radio communication technology.

2. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the predefined transmitting schedule comprises a transmitting and receiving frame including at least one of time slots and frequency bands for transmitting and receiving signals by the first transceiver.

3. The radio communication device of claim 2,

wherein the first processor is configured to control the first transceiver to omit transmitting signals within a subframe of the transmitting and receiving frame provided for signal transmission of the first transceiver.

4. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the automatic repeat request mechanism comprises a hybrid automatic repeat request mechanism.

5. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the automatic repeat request mechanism comprises a plurality of transmission processes, each process being provided for transmission of a portion of the data to be transmitted by the first transceiver.

6. The radio communication device of claim 5,

wherein the automatic repeat request mechanism comprises a plurality of transmission processes, each process being provided for transmission of a portion of the data to be transmitted by the first transceiver wherein the processes are selected for the transmission of the data in a periodic manner.

7. The radio communication device of claim 6,

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals taking the periodicity of the processes into account.

8. The radio communication device of claim 7,

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals using the same process within a predefined numbers of subsequent process cycles.

9. The radio communication device of claim 8,

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals wherein each process is selected once for omitting transmission of signals before the same process is selected for a second time for omitting transmission of signals.

10. The radio communication device of claim 8,

wherein the first processor is configured to select at least one of a plurality of consecutive time periods and a plurality of consecutive frequency bands in which the transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals using the same process within a respective process cycle.

11. The radio communication device of claim 8,

wherein the first processor is configured to select at least one of a plurality of consecutive time periods and a plurality of consecutive frequency bands in which the transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals using the same process within a respective process cycle, wherein the sum of the plurality of consecutive time periods or the sum of the plurality of consecutive frequency bands is smaller than the process cycle time or frequency provided for one complete process cycle.

12. The radio communication device of claim 6,

wherein the first processor is configured to select at least one of a plurality of consecutive time periods and a plurality of consecutive frequency bands in which the transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals using the same process within a respective process cycle, wherein over a plurality of process cycles an average period of the selected at least one of a plurality of consecutive time periods and a plurality of consecutive frequency bands substantially corresponds to a predefined period of the process cycle.

13. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals as a transmission denial pattern and to store the transmission denial pattern.

14. The radio communication device of claim 1,

being configured as a radio communication terminal device.

15. The radio communication device of claim 1,

configured to receive the transmission denial pattern from a radio communication base station device.

16. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the first transceiver is configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Third Generation Partnership Project radio communication technology.

17. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the first transceiver is configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a 4G radio communication technology.

18. The radio communication device of claim 17,

wherein the first transceiver is configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Long Term Evolution radio communication technology.

19. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the second transceiver is configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Short Range radio communication technology selected from a group consisting of:

Bluetooth radio communication technology;

Ultra Wide Band radio communication technology;

Wireless Local Area Network radio communication technology;

Infrared Data Association radio communication technology;

Z-Wave radio communication technology;

ZigBee radio communication technology;

HIgh PErformance Radio LAN radio communication technology;

IEEE 802.11 radio communication technology; and

Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications radio communication technology.

20. The radio communication device of claim 1,

wherein the second transceiver is configured to transmit and receive signals in accordance with a Metropolitan Area System radio communication technology selected from a group consisting of:

Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access radio communication technology;

WiPro radio communication technology;

High Performance Radio Metropolitan Area Network radio communication technology; and

802.16m Advanced Air Interface radio communication technology.

21. A method for operating a radio communication device, the method comprising:

a first transceiver transmitting and receiving signals in accordance with a Cellular Wide Area radio communication technology;

a second transceiver transmitting and receiving signals in accordance with a Short Range radio communication technology or a Metropolitan Area System radio communication technology;

a first processor controlling the first transceiver; and

a second processor controlling the second transceiver;

wherein the first processor controls the first transceiver to transmit signals based on a pre-defined de-sensing target for the first transceiver, wherein the first processor further controls the first transceiver to omit transmitting signals within at least one of a time period and a frequency band provided for signal transmission of the first transceiver when a de-sensing level is below the de-sensing target;

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the first transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals in accordance with a characteristic of the selection of the processes wherein the at least one of the time period and the frequency band overlap with a plurality of different transmission processes; and

wherein the first processor is configured to select the at least one of a time period and a frequency band in which the first transceiver is controlled to omit transmitting signals in accordance with an automatic repeat request mechanism provided in accordance with the Cellular Wide Area radio communication technology.

22. The method of claim 21,

wherein the predefined transmitting schedule comprises a transmitting and receiving frame including at least one of time slots and frequency bands for transmitting and receiving signals by the first transceiver.

23. The method of claim 22,

wherein the first processor controls the first transceiver to omit transmitting signals within a subframe of the transmitting and receiving frame provided for signal transmission of the first transceiver.
