1. An access port, comprising:

  • a port body, including a reservoir connected to an outlet stem; and

    a septum coupled to the port body, providing access to the reservoir, the septum comprising;

    a lower portion defining an outer periphery of the septum;

    an upper portion joined to the lower portion at a juncture, wherein an outer circumferential surface of the upper portion extends vertically upward from the juncture, the upper portion comprising;

    an inner periphery defined by the outer circumferential surface, the inner periphery positioned radially inwardly relative to the outer periphery; and

    a plurality of palpation features, at least one of the plurality of palpation features having a portion extending radially between the inner periphery and the outer periphery.
