1. A radiofrequency identification (RFID) antenna structure comprising:

  • an antenna for use in an RFID device, the antenna comprising a plurality of loops configured to receive a signal from a source;

    one or more additional inductive loops that are physically separated from the plurality of loops;

    a switching arrangement coupled with the one or more additional inductive loops; and

    a controller configured to control the switching arrangement to selectively switch the one or more additional inductive loops to inductively couple the one or more additional loops with the plurality of loops of the antenna to change an inductance of the antenna based on a surrounding conducted environment.
