1. A wireless energy receiver comprising:

  • a communications component configured to communicate information used to determine a location of the receiver to a transmitter;

    an antenna configured to receive energy from a constructive interference pattern formed by at least two power transmission waves that are transmitted from the transmitter upon determining that the location of the receiver is an authorized location;

    a rectifier configured to convert the received energy into electricity to charge an electronic device coupled to the receiver; and

    an alert component configured to;

    cause presentation of an alert upon detecting one or more of;

    (i) an absence of the constructive interference pattern, (ii) that the location of the receiver is not the authorized location, and (iii) an absence of a communication signal from the transmitter, andadjust presentation of the alert based upon a distance of the receiver from the authorized location.
