1. A modular LED lighting having a first module (1) and a second module (2), an emergency light operating circuit, a rechargeable energy store (ES), an LED module (F), and a communication interface (6),wherein the first module (1) is configured to be supplied with a first AC supply voltage (9) and wherein the first module (1) comprises:

  • a first submodule (A), a second submodule (B) and a control unit (G), wherein the first submodule (A) is configured for being supplied with the AC supply voltage (9) and for providing DC voltage to a second submodule (B),wherein the second submodule (B) comprisesa half bridge inverter comprising a series connection of a first switch (S1) with a second switch (S2), wherein the half bridge inverter is configured and arranged to receive the first DC voltage from the first submodule (A),a storage capacitance (23) connected to a first rectifier (22) and a third submodule (C) of the second module (2),a transformer (19) having a primary winding and a first secondary winding inductively coupled to the primary winding,the first rectifier (22) being configured to convert a second AC voltage applied at the first secondary winding into a second DC voltage and being connected to the storage capacitance (23) and the first secondary winding of the transformer (19),a measuring resistor (24),a resonant circuit (15) comprising a series connection of a first inductance (16) with a coupling capacitor (17), wherein the first inductance (16) is connected to a point between the first and second switch and connected to the coupling capacitor (17), and the coupling capacitor (17) is further connect to a first end of the primary winding, wherein a second end of the primary winding is connected to ground as well as to the measuring resistor (24),wherein the measuring resistor (24) is arranged in a series connection with the first and second switch and at the same time connected to ground as well as to the second end of the primary winding;

    wherein the control unit (G) is configured and arranged to generate drive signals for clocking the first and second switch based on a voltage drop at the measuring resistor (24),wherein the second module (2) comprises;

    a control unit (E),the third submodule (C), wherein, during a normal operation, the third submodule (C) is configured and arranged for being supplied with the second DC voltage that is output by the second submodule (B) of the first module (1) and that is supplied to the third submodule (C) from the second submodule (B) of the first module (1) to the third submodule (C), thereby providing a power supply (5) from the second submodule (B) of the first module (1) to the third submodule (C),wherein the LED module (F), which has at least one LED path (8), is configured and arranged for being supplied by the third submodule (C), wherein the control unit (E) is configured and arranged to control the supply based on feedback values supplied from the LED module (F) to the control unit (E),wherein the first module (1) and the second module (2) are configured and arranged to communicate via the communication interface (6),wherein a charging circuit of the emergency light operating circuit comprises a second secondary winding (83) inductively coupled to the first secondary winding of the transformer (19) and a second rectifier (84) connected to the first secondary winding and connected to the rechargeable energy store (ES), wherein the second rectifier (84) is configured to convert a third AC voltage applied at the first secondary winding into a third DC voltage by means of which the rechargeable energy store (ES) is recharged in the normal operation;

    wherein a discharge circuit (81) of the emergency light operating circuit is configured and arranged to use the rechargeable energy store (ES) to take over a feeding of the LED module (F) in an event of failure of the first AC supply voltage (9), wherein the discharge circuit (81) is coupled to the second submodule (B) of the first module (1) and, in the event of failure of the first AC supply voltage (9), is configured to feed the second module (2) via said power supply (5) from the second submodule (B) of the first module (1) to the further submodule (C) used during the normal operation, andwherein, in the event of failure of the first AC supply voltage (9), the first module (1) is configured to transmit a control command via the communication interface (6) and the second module (2) is configured to adapt its operation in response to the transmission of the control command.
