1. A power transmission device having a surface a part of which defines a power transmission plane, the device comprising:
- a power transmission circuit converting DC power into AC power; and
a power transmission coil structure including 2N planar coils (N is an integer of two or larger) laminated in a direction perpendicular to the power transmission plane, the power transmission coil structure wirelessly transmitting the converted AC power to a power receiving coil of a power receiving device via the power transmission plane and being disposed on a side toward the power transmission plane in the power transmission device, the 2N planar coilswherein the 2N planar coils constitute N coil groups,i'"'"'th coil group of the N coil groups includes a planar coil having an i'"'"'th highest inductance out of the 2N planar coils and a planar coil having an i'"'"'th-lowest inductance, where i denotes an integer of one to N,the planar coil having the i'"'"'th highest inductance and the planar coil having the i'"'"'th-lowest inductance in the i'"'"'th coil group are connected in series with each other, andthe N coil groups are connected in parallel to each other.
