Abstract

A request for a first resource by a user is received. In response to receiving the request for a first resource, a second resource is determined based on the first resource and a resource usage pattern of the user. A response to the request for the first resource is provided. The response includes the first resource and the second resource.

Claims

1. A method for improving performance of mobile applications, the method comprising:

receiving, by one or more computer processors, a request for a first resource by a user;

responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, determining, by one or more computer processors, a second resource based on the first resource and a third resource based on the first resource;

determining, by one or more processors, a frequency of the second resource and a frequency of the third resource, wherein the frequency of the second resource and the frequency of the third resource are determined based on a resource usage pattern of the user; and

responsive to determining that the frequency of the second resource is greater than the frequency of the third resource, providing, by one or more computer processors, a response to the request for the first resource based on the resource usage pattern of the user, wherein the response includes the first resource and the second resource.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, determining a second resource comprises:

receiving, by one or more computer processors, a previous request for the first resource by the user;

receiving, by one or more computer processors, a previous request for a second resource by the user immediately after the previous request for the first resource is received;

determining, by one or more computer processors, a resource usage pattern of the user based on the previous request for the first resource and the previous request for the second resource; and

responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, determining, by one or more computer processors, the second resource based on the first resource and the resource usage pattern.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the previous request for the first resource and the previous request for the second resource are received during a same log-in session of the user.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, determining a second resource comprises:

responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, determining, by one or more computer processors, a second resource based on the first resource and a resource usage pattern of one or more second users.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the resource usage pattern of the user comprises one or more previous requests for the first resource by the user, one or more previous requests for the second resource by the user, and one or more previous requests for the third resource by the user.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein responsive to receiving a request for a first resource, determining the second resource comprises:

determining, by one or more computer processors, that the one or more previous requests for the second resource are received immediately after the one or more previous requests for the first resource more frequently than the one or more previous requests for the third resource are received.

7. The method of claim 5, wherein the one or more previous requests for the first resource, the one or more previous requests for the second resource, and the one or more previous requests for the third resource are received during a same log-in session of the user.

8. A computer program product for improving performance of mobile applications, the computer program product comprising:

one or more computer readable storage media; and

program instructions stored on the one or more computer readable storage media, the program instructions comprising;

program instructions to receive a request for a first resource by a user;

program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine a second resource based on the first resource and a third resource based on the first resource;

program instructions to determine a frequency of the second resource and a frequency of the third resource, wherein the frequency of the second resource and the frequency of the third resource are determined based on a resource usage pattern of the user; and

program instructions, responsive to determining that the frequency of the second resource is greater than the frequency of the third resource, to provide a response to the request for the first resource based on the resource usage pattern of the user, wherein the response includes the first resource and the second resource.

9. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine a second resource comprise:

program instructions to receive a previous request for the first resource by the user;

program instructions to receive a previous request for a second resource by the user immediately after the previous request for the first resource is received;

program instructions to determine a resource usage pattern of the user based on the previous request for the first resource and the previous request for the second resource; and

program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine the second resource based on the first resource and the resource usage pattern.

10. The computer program product of claim 9, wherein the previous request for the first resource and the previous request for the second resource are received during a same log-in session of the user.

11. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine a second resource comprise:

program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine a second resource based on the first resource and a resource usage pattern of one or more second users.

12. The computer program product of claim 8, wherein the resource usage pattern of the user comprises one or more previous requests for the first resource by the user, one or more previous requests for the second resource by the user, and one or more previous requests for the third resource by the user.

13. The computer program product of claim 12, wherein the program instructions, responsive to receiving a request for a first resource, to determine the second resource comprise:

program instructions to determine that the one or more previous requests for the second resource are received immediately after the one or more previous requests for the first resource more frequently than the one or more previous requests for the third resource are received.

14. The computer program product of claim 12, wherein the one or more previous requests for the first resource, the one or more previous requests for the second resource, and the one or more previous requests for the third resource are received during a same log-in session of the user.

15. A computer system for improving performance of mobile applications, the computer system comprising:

one or more computer processors;

one or more computer readable storage media; and

program instructions, stored on the one or more computer readable storage media, for execution by at least one of the one or more computer processors, the program instructions comprising;

program instructions to receive a request for a first resource by a user;

program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine a second resource based on the first resource and a third resource based on the first resource;

program instructions to determine a frequency of the second resource and a frequency of the third resource, wherein the frequency of the second resource and the frequency of the third resource are determined based on a resource usage pattern of the user; and

program instructions, responsive to determining that the frequency of the second resource is greater than the frequency of the third resource, to provide a response to the request for the first resource based on the resource usage pattern of the user, wherein the response includes the first resource and the second resource.

16. The computer system of claim 15, wherein the program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine a second resource comprise:

program instructions to receive a previous request for the first resource by the user;

program instructions to receive a previous request for a second resource by the user immediately after the previous request for the first resource is received;

program instructions to determine a resource usage pattern of the user based on the previous request for the first resource and the previous request for the second resource; and

program instructions, responsive to receiving the request for a first resource, to determine the second resource based on the first resource and the resource usage pattern.

17. The computer system of claim 16, wherein the previous request for the first resource and the previous request for the second resource are received during a same log-in session of the user.

18. The computer system of claim 15, wherein the resource usage pattern of the user comprises one or more previous requests for the first resource by the user, one or more previous requests for the second resource by the user, and one or more previous requests for the third resource by the user.

19. The computer system of claim 18, wherein the program instructions, responsive to receiving a request for a first resource, to determine the second resource comprise:

program instructions to determine that the one or more previous requests for the second resource are received immediately after the one or more previous requests for the first resource more frequently than the one or more previous requests for the third resource are received.

20. The computer system of claim 18, wherein the one or more previous requests for the first resource, the one or more previous requests for the second resource, and the one or more previous requests for the third resource are received during a same log-in session of the user.
