Abstract

One embodiment of a system for automatically generating code for attributes includes a credit bureau data that store stores credit bureau convention information and an attribute generation system that communicates with the credit data store to detect rules associated with respective credit bureaus. The system may include an input module which receives, from a user system, a document comprising pseudo-code defining attributes including credit bureau specific logic; an error checking module which automatically performs error checking and provides error correcting information on the document; an attribute verification module which parses the document to identify attributes and automatically retrieves rules associated with the respective credit bureaus; a document generation module which generates an attribute specification document based on the retrieved rules as applied to the attributes in the document; and a code generation module which generates an executable codeset based on the retrieved plurality of attributes and credit bureau specific rules.

Claims

1. A computer system for automated credit attribute specification and code set generation, the system comprising:

a credit bureau data store configured to store credit bureau convention information for a plurality of credit bureaus;

an attribute specification and code set generation server comprising one or more processors programmed to execute instructions and configured to communicate with said credit bureau data store to access credit bureau convention information to detect attribute and filter rules associated with respective credit bureaus, said attribute specification and code set generation server comprising;

an input module configured to receive a document from a user system, the document comprising pseudo-code defining a plurality of attributes including credit bureau specific logic;

an error checking module configured to automatically perform error checking and provide error correcting information on the document received;

an attribute verification module configured to;

parse the received document to identify attributes; and

automatically retrieve the attribute and filter rules associated with the respective credit bureaus from the credit bureau data store;

a document generation module configured to generate an attribute specification document based on the retrieved attribute and filter rules as applied to the plurality of attributes in the received document; and

a code generation module configured to generate at least one executable code set based on the retrieved plurality of attributes and credit bureau specific attribute and filter rules.

2. The computer system of claim 1, said attribute specification and code set generation server further comprising a driver module configured to validate input information in the document received.

3. The computer system of claim 1, said attribute specification and code set generation server comprising a transformation module configured to translate the attribute specification document into a set of standardized code.

4. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the document received from the user system is in one of a text or a spreadsheet format.

5. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the error checking module is configured to perform error checking by performing at least one of:

syntax correction, typographical error correction or debugging of the document received from the user system.

6. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the attribute and filter rules include type codes associated with credit attributes.

7. The computer system of claim 6, wherein the type codes may include one or more of True/False, Dollar, Percentage, Months, Days, Date, Alphabetic, Numeric, Rank, or Grid.

8. The computer system of claim 6, wherein the attribute specification and code set generation server is further configured to access templates for attributes.

9. The computer system of claim 8, wherein templates for attributes may include one or more of:

an attribute name, an attribute description, attribute logic/definition, capping logic for capping an output value for an attribute, default logic for assigning a value if there are no qualified trades to determine an attribute, computational methods for calculating an attribute, units of measures of an attribute, one or more operands to specific filters and attributes using in the computation of an attribute, an initial value associated with an attribute, an output type or format associated with an attribute, a minimum and/or maximum length of an output, or valid values associated with attributes, excluding default values.

10. The computer system of claim 9, wherein computational methods for calculating an attribute may include:

COUNT, AVG, MAX, MIN, RANGE, RATIO, OR SUM.

11. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the attribute and filter rules from the at least one credit bureau data store include different rules for each credit bureau data store.

12. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the at least one executable code includes one or more of:

C code, Statistical Analysis System code, Lua code, Event Driven Language code, or Fascode code.

13. A computer-implemented method for automated credit attribute specification and code set generation, the method comprising:

as implemented by one or more computing devices configured with specific computer-executable instructions,

storing, on the one or more computing devices, credit bureau information for a plurality of credit bureaus credit, the credit bureau information comprising rules associated with attributes at respective credit bureaus;

receiving a document from a user system, the document comprising pseudo-code defining a plurality of attributes;

automatically performing, on the one or more computing devices, error checking and providing error correcting information the document received;

parsing, on the one or more computing devices, the received document to identify attributes;

automatically retrieving, on the one or more computing devices, rules associated with attributes at the respective credit bureaus from the credit bureau data store;

generating, on the one or more computing devices, an attribute specification document based on the retrieved rules as applied to the plurality of attributes in the received document; and

generating, on the one or more computing devices, at least one executable code set based on the retrieved plurality of attributes and credit bureau specific rules.

14. The computer-implemented method of claim 13, wherein the document received from the user system is in one of a text or a spreadsheet format.

15. The computer-implemented method of claim 13, wherein performing error checking comprises performing at least one of:

syntax correction, typographical error correction, or debugging of the document received from the user system.

16. The computer-implemented method of claim 13, wherein the pseudo-code includes type codes associated with credit attributes.

17. The computer-implemented method of claim 13, wherein the at least one executable code includes one or more of:

C code, Statistical Analysis System code, Lua code, Event Driven Language code, or Fascode code.

18. Non-transitory, computer-readable storage media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a computer system, configure the computer system to perform operations comprising:

storing, on the computer system, credit bureau information for a plurality of credit bureaus credit, the credit bureau information comprising rules associated with attributes at respective credit bureaus;

receiving a document from a user system, the document comprising pseudo-code defining a plurality of attributes;

automatically performing, on the computer system, error checking and providing error correcting information on the document received;

parsing, on the computer system, the received document to identify attributes;

automatically retrieving, on the computer system, rules associated with attributes at the respective credit bureaus from the credit bureau data store;

generating, on the computer system, an attribute specification document based on the retrieved rules as applied to the plurality of attributes in the received document; and

generating, on the computer system, at least one executable code set based on the retrieved plurality of attributes and credit bureau specific rules.

19. The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein the document received from the user system is in one of a text or a spreadsheet format.

20. The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein performing error checking comprises performing at least one of:

syntax correction, typographical error correction or debugging of the document received from the user system.

21. The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein the pseudo-code includes type codes associated with credit attributes.

22. The non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein the at least one executable code includes one or more of:

C code, Statistical Analysis System code, Lua code, Event Driven Language code, or Fascode code.
