1. A system, comprising:

  • a monitoring device connected with a vehicle and comprising at least a primary antenna, wherein the monitoring device is configured to monitor, via the primary antenna, one or more uplink frequency bands for a cellular data signal indicative of a presence of a mobile device within the vehicle; and

    an antenna component mounted between a driver space and a passenger space within the vehicle, the antenna component comprising at least a first antenna, a second antenna and a RF microwave reflective or absorptive material, wherein the RF microwave reflective or absorptive material is positioned between the first antenna and second antenna and wherein the antenna component is configured to (i) monitor, via the first antenna and the second antenna, the one or more uplink frequency bands for the cellular data signal and (ii) distinguish, based on the monitoring via the first antenna and the second antenna, whether the cellular data signal originates from the driver space or from the passenger space.
