Abstract

In one aspect, a device includes a processor, a battery accessible to the processor and that powers the processor, and storage accessible to the processor. The storage bears instructions executable by the processor to predict a discharge amount of the battery that is to occur within a predefined time and, based on the prediction, determine a frequency at which the battery is to be charged.

Claims

1. A device, comprising:

at least one processor;

a battery accessible to the at least one processor and that powers the at least one processor; and

storage accessible to the at least one processor and comprising instructions executable by the at least one processor to;

predict a discharge amount of the battery that is to occur within a predefined time;

based on the prediction, determine a frequency at which the battery is to be charged, the frequency being more than a single time, the frequency comprising at least a first day of the week and a first time of day and a second day of the week and a second time of day; and

provide a notification at the device, the notification pertaining to the frequency, wherein the notification comprises text setting forth the frequency.

2. The device of claim 1, wherein the notification indicates a day of the week during which the battery is to be charged.

3. The device of claim 1, wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

provide the notification in response to a determination that the device is at a predefined location.

4. The device of claim 1, wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

provide the notification in response to a determination that a threshold time has been reached that is prior to a time at which the battery is to be charged.

5. The device of claim 1, wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

based on the prediction, determine a frequency less than daily at which the battery is to be charged.

6. The device of claim 1, wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

predict a discharge amount of the battery from fully charged that is to occur within a predefined time; and

based on the prediction of the discharge amount of the battery from fully charged that is to occur within the predefined time, determine a frequency at which the battery is to be charged.

7. The device of claim 1, wherein the predefined time is a week.

8. The device of claim 1, wherein the predefined time is user-defined.

9. The device of claim 1, wherein the predefined time is a first predefined time, and wherein the prediction is based at least in part on at least one previous discharge amount of the battery that occurred within a second predefined time.

10. The device of claim 9, wherein the second predefined time comprises a same day of the week as the first predefined time.

11. The device of claim 9, wherein the second predefined time comprises a same time of day as the first predefined time.

12. The device of claim 1, wherein the predefined time is a first predefined time, and wherein the prediction is based at least in part on an average of previous of discharge amounts of the battery that respectively occurred within past predefined times.

13. The device of claim 1, wherein the first day of the week and the second day of the week are different days of the week.

14. The device of claim 1, wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

predict the discharge amount based at least in part on a prediction of an application that is to be executed within the predefined time.

15. A method, comprising:

predicting, using a device, a discharge amount of a battery that is to occur within a predefined time;

determining, based on the predicting, a frequency at which the battery is to be charged, the frequency being more than a single time, the frequency comprising at least a first day of the week and a first time of day and a second day of the week and a second time of day; and

providing a notification at the device, the notification pertaining to the frequency, wherein the notification comprises text setting forth the frequency.

16. The method of claim 15, comprising:

predicting the discharge amount based at least in part on a prediction of an application that is to be executed within the predefined time.

17. A computer readable storage medium (CRSM) that is not a transitory signal, the computer readable storage medium comprising instructions executable by at least one processor to:

predict a discharge amount of a battery that is to occur within a predefined time;

based on the prediction, determine a frequency at which the battery is to be charged, the frequency being more than a single time; and

present a notification on an electronic display, the notification pertaining to the frequency, wherein the notification comprises text setting forth the frequency.

18. The CRSM of claim 17, wherein the instructions are executable by the at least one processor to:

predict the discharge amount based at least in part on a prediction of an application that is to be executed within the predefined time.
