1. A communication apparatus, comprising:

  • a scheduler, which, in operation, determines a resource allocation to map each of a plurality of precoded symbol sequences on a same set of discontinuous frequency resources, each of the discontinuous frequency resources being located on a separate position from other frequency resource(s) on a frequency axis, wherein the plurality of precoded symbol sequences are to be generated based on a plurality of DFT transformed symbol sequences and a precoding matrix, each of the plurality of DFT transformed symbol sequences corresponding to one of a plurality of layers and being derived from two codewords, wherein the plurality of precoded symbol sequences share;

    a number of clusters used to map each precoded symbol sequence;

    cluster sizes; and

    a frequency position of each cluster, each of the cluster sizes being a frequency bandwidth of the discontinuous frequency resources, and a cluster size is defined according to a minimum cluster size which is common among the plurality of layers;

    a transmitter, which, in operation, transmits information indicating the determined resource allocation;

    a receiver, which, in operation, receives a signal including the plurality of precoded symbol sequences which are mapped on the same set of discontinuous frequency resources; and

    a combiner, which, in operation, combines the received signal mapped on the discontinuous frequency resources to generate symbol sequences.
