1. A method for providing information about an on-demand service, the method being performed by one or more processors of a computing device and comprising:

  • determining a current location of the computing device based on location information obtained from the computing device;

    providing, on a display of the computing device, a multistate selection feature that is operative to display information about multiple types of services that are available through an on-demand service at the current location of the computing device, the multistate selection feature being responsive to an input of a user along at least one bidirectional path to transition between at least a first state that is associated with a first type of transport service of the multiple types of services, and a second state that is associated with a second type of transport service of the multiple types of services;

    obtaining location-specific service information based on the current location of the computing device, the location-specific service information including location-specific first service information for the first type of transport service, and location-specific second service information for the second type of transport service;

    wherein providing the multistate selection feature includes;

    when the multistate selection feature is in the first state, displaying (i) the multistate selection feature to include a first graphic indicator of a first vehicle type to represent the first type of transport service, and (ii) concurrently, with the first graphic indicator, the location-specific first service information;

    when the multistate selection feature is in the second state, displaying (i) the multistate selection feature to include a second graphic indicator of a second vehicle type to represent the second type of transport service, and (ii) concurrently, with the second graphic indicator, the location-specific second service information; and

    in response to the input of the user along the at least one bidirectional path, (i) moving the first graphic indicator of the first vehicle type along the at least one bidirectional path, (ii) replacing the first graphic indicator of the first vehicle type with the second graphic indicator of the second vehicle type, and (iii) replacing the location-specific first service information with the location-specific second service information.
