1. A method, comprising:
- calculating a first distance based on a distance between a first position of the wireless device and a second position of the wireless device;
comparing the first distance to a first threshold distance stored in a memory to confirm the first distance exceeds a first minimum distance;
calculating a second distance based on a distance between the second position of the wireless device and a third position of the wireless device;
comparing the second distance to a second threshold distance stored in the memory to confirm the second distance does not exceed a first maximum distance; and
changing a current operating state of the wireless device to a different operating state if the first distance exceeds the first minimum distance and the second distance does not exceed the first maximum distance.
