1. A communications system comprising:

  • a loop transmitter comprising a coil of wire; and

    an earplug to insert into an ear of a user, the earplug comprising;

    a receiver including a wire; and

    a speaker coupled to the wire of the receiver;

    such that when the earplug is placed in a user'"'"'s ear and the loop transmitter is placed near the a pinna of the user'"'"'s ear, and an audio electrical signal is introduced into the coil of wire of the loop transmitter, a magnetic flux is created which is inductively coupled to the wire of the receiver and converted into an electrical voltage, the voltage driving the speaker to provide sound into the user'"'"'s ear.
