Abstract

A temperature destratification assembly can include an outer housing. An impeller can be positioned within the outer housing between the inlet and outlet of the outer housing. The impeller can have an impeller hub and a plurality of impeller blades extending radially outward from the impeller hub. The assembly can include an impeller motor configured to rotate the impeller blades about an axis of rotation. A stator can be positioned within the outer housing between the impeller and the outlet of the outer housing. The stator can include a plurality of vanes. The stator vanes can include an upstream edge at the upstream end of the stator, a first surface extending from the upstream edge to the downstream edge of the vane, and a second surface opposite the first surface and extending from the upstream edge to the downstream edge of vane. A plurality of the vanes can have a downstream edge at the outlet of the outer housing.

Claims

1. An air moving system comprising:

an outer housing configured to be positioned above a ceiling of an interior disclosure, the outer housing having an upper end and a lower end, the outer housing configured to be connected to the ceiling;

an inner housing positioned partially within the outer housing, the inner housing having an inlet end and an outlet end;

an impeller positioned within the inner housing and configured to direct air toward the outlet end of the inner housing;

a plurality of stator vanes positioned at least partially within the inner housing between the impeller and the outlet end of the inner housing, the plurality of stator vanes configured to reduce circumferential motion of air exiting the impeller and to increase axial movement of the air exiting the impeller; and

a support assembly connected to the ceiling and comprising;

an outer connection structure defining a perimeter of the support assembly and configured to attach to the ceiling;

an inner connection structure surrounding at least a portion of the inner housing; and

one or more connectors extending between the inner connection structure and the outer connection structure, wherein openings between the one or more connectors and between the inner and outer connection structures define one or more inlets to the outer housing of the air moving system.

2. The air moving assembly of claim 1, wherein the inner connection structure is an annular ring.

3. The air moving assembly of claim 1, wherein the inner housing is configured to tilt with respect to the outer housing.

4. The air moving assembly of claim 1, wherein the outer connection structure is configured to connect directly to the ceiling.

5. The air moving assembly of claim 1, wherein the outer housing has a generally cylindrical shape.

6. The air moving assembly of claim 1, wherein the upper end of the outer housing comprises a closed wall.

7. The air moving assembly of claim 1, wherein the one or more connectings comprise one or more ribs.
