1. A method for direction-adapted signaling by a vehicle, the method comprising the acts of:

  • displaying a graphical message via a display, wherein the display deflects light from actively illuminated pixel elements forming the graphical message such that the displayed graphical message is visible from outside the vehicle only from one spatial angle that includes an area significantly removed from any blind spot of the vehicle;

    sensing, via a sensor, the position of a viewer with respect to the vehicle; and

    altering at least one angle parameter of the one spatial angle while the graphical message is displayed, such that the viewer is positioned within the spatial angle, wherein the area of the spatial angle is defined by the at least one angle parameter, and wherein the altering of the at least one angle parameter of the spatial angle is based on two or more recent positions of the vehicle.
