Abstract

A display system in which the luminance of light-emitting elements in a light-emitting device is adjusted based on information on an environment. A sensor obtains information on an environment as an electrical signal. A CPU converts, based on comparison data set in advance, the information signal into a correction signal for correcting the luminance of EL elements. Upon receiving this correction signal, a voltage changer applies a predetermined corrected potential to the EL elements. Thus, this display system enables control of the luminance of the EL elements.

Claims

1. An electrical appliance comprising:

a first display device comprising a first EL element;

a second display device comprising a second EL element; and

a sensor obtaining a living-body information signal of a user,

wherein the living-body information signal can be used for controlling the first display device and the second display device,

wherein the first display device forms a first image for a right-eye,

wherein the second display device forms a second image for a left-eye, and

wherein the living-body information signal represents any one of information on a degree of congestion in the user'"'"'s eye, pulsation, blood pressure, body temperature, and an opening in an iris.

2. The electrical appliance according to claim 1,

wherein the first EL element comprises a first EL layer provided between a first electrode and a second electrode, and

wherein the first EL layer comprises a first light emitting layer.

3. The electrical appliance according to claim 1, further comprising:

an A/D converter; and

a CPU,

wherein the sensor inputs the living-body information signal as an electrical signal to the A/D converter,

wherein the electrical signal is converted into a digital electrical signal by the A/D converter, and

wherein the digital electrical signal is inputted to the CPU.

4. The electrical appliance according to claim 1, wherein the living-body information signal can be used for controlling luminance of the first display device and the second display device.

5. The electrical appliance according to claim 1, wherein the sensor is any one of a photo diode, a CdS photoconductive cell, charge-coupled devices, and CMOS sensors.
