1. A testing system for measuring a concentration of analyte in a body fluid sample, comprising:

  • a continuous glucose monitor probe for collecting samples of body fluid; and

    a meter comprising;

    a port configured to receive a test sensor therein in a generally horizontal direction, the port being disposed along a horizontal axis of the meter;

    a reaction-detection system for measuring the analyte concentration in the collected samples of the body fluid;

    a display configured to display the measurements of the analyte concentration in the collected samples of the body fluid;

    a plurality of soft keys for receiving input from the user and being disposed adjacent to the display, the plurality of soft keys being dynamically assigned to user-selectable options displayed on the display; and

    at least one processor performing a statistical operation adapted to provide a statistical output based on the measurements of the analyte concentration in the collected samples of the body fluid for a specified time period,wherein the at least one processor is configured to cause the display to display a plurality of user-selectable statistical operations, at least one of the plurality of user-selectable statistical operations including an average of one or more of the measurements of the analyte concentration in the collected samples of the body fluid for the specified time period,wherein the at least one processor is further configured to cause the display to display each of the plurality of user-selectable statistical operations in a single horizontal line of text in a respective segment of the display, each respective segment extending in the generally horizontal direction and being parallel to the horizontal axis of the meter, andwherein each soft key adjacent to the display is (i) assigned to a respective one of the plurality of user-selectable statistical operations, (ii) aligned with the respective one of the plurality of types of user-selectable statistical operations displayed on the display, and (iii) operable to cause the display to display the statistical output associated with the respective one of the plurality of user-selectable statistical operations.
