1. A method for managing web content executed by a web server, the web server comprising a processor and a memory for storing a web content management application, the method comprising:
- generating, by the web content management application, a global marketing framework using content data provided by a plurality of content authors, a portion of the global marketing framework indicative of a marketing campaign;
generating, by the web content management application, a graphical user interface for each of the content authors, each of the graphical user interfaces providing visual representations of web marketing campaigns in the form of a plurality of block icons representing the web marketing campaigns, each web marketing campaign being one of the web marketing campaigns represented by the plurality of block icons, the plurality of block icons being connected by arrows that are indicative to the content author of relationships of the plurality of web marketing campaigns relative to one another;
providing the web content management application via a web site;
automatically generating, by the web content management application, a plurality of web marketing campaigns in a plurality of different languages for a content author from at least a portion of the global marketing framework via the web server by inheriting portions of the global marketing framework such that branding and messaging content remains consistent without requiring the content author to create the plurality of individual web marketing campaigns, the web marketing campaign comprising object models with inheritance, data included in the web content generated by the web content management application being provided according to a predetermined format of rendering engines, rather than from data formats utilized by standard web applications;
generating, in the graphical user interface, a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get representation to the content author of the automatically generated web marketing campaign that is an actual visual appearance of the web marketing campaign as it is to be published on a presentation server;
maintaining consistency for the content authors with regard to branding and message content over the plurality of web marketing campaigns by inheriting data from the global marketing framework;
updating the graphical user interface representation of the web marketing campaigns as extra data is obtained by content authors through third parties to the global framework and added to the global marketing framework;
storing marketing campaign data in folder structures created by the content authors for use in generating web marketing campaigns, the folder structures available for access by content authors via a web browser application resident on client devices of the content authors;
tailoring the web marketing campaign for a country based on language and an appearance of the web marketing campaign is tailored based on marketing data for the country;
gathering, via the web server, marketing data from at least one of the web servers associated with the web marketing campaign and consumer devices accessing the web marketing campaign, the marketing data including information indicative of interests of consumers for products or services;
storing the marketing data in a database;
associating consumers together according to at least one common interest for products or services to create one or more consumer groups; and
providing the one or more consumer groups to at least one marketing content author.

a web server executing a web content management application adapted to generate web marketing campaigns from a global marketing framework; a presentation server that publishes the web marketing campaigns; a database associated with the web server that stores global marketing framework and the web marketing campaigns; a word processor connector that; receives textual information from authors; and converts the textual information into structured extensible markup language (XML) content; a content manager module that; maintains a global marketing framework indicative of a marketing campaign; receives the structured XML content from the word processor connector; and automatically generates a web marketing campaign from at least a portion of the global marketing framework via the web server by inheriting portions of the global marketing framework such that branding and messaging content remains consistent, wherein the web marketing campaign is tailored for a country based on language and an appearance of the web marketing campaign is tailored based on marketing data for the country, the web marketing campaign comprising object models with inheritance; generates a graphical user interface that comprises a plurality of block icons representing web marketing campaigns, the web marketing campaign being one of the web marketing campaigns represented by the plurality of block icons, wherein the plurality of block icons are connected by arrows that are indicative of relationships of the plurality of web marketing campaigns relative to one another; a content porter module that facilitates exchange of data between the database associated with the web server and various versions of the web content management application executing on a plurality of client devices; a visitor intelligence module adapted to; gather, via the web server, marketing data from at least one of the web server associated with the web marketing campaign and consumer devices accessing the web marketing campaign, the marketing data including information indicative of interests of consumers for products or services; and group consumers together according to at least one common interest for products or services to create one or more consumer groups; a business connector module adapted to provide the one or more consumer groups to at least one marketing content author using data exchange adapters, the business connector module interfacing the web content management application with one or more third-party applications using one or more exchange adapters; the web content management application utilizing a dynamic rendering engine and a dynamic rendering engine data format that allow for the use of dynamic functionalities of the one or more third-party applications and conversion of the marketing data gathered by the visitor intelligence module to a data format utilized by the one or more third-party applications; and a dynamic broker module configured to continually modify a web marketing campaign of the plurality of web marketing campaigns that is being presented to an individual to include different advertisements than currently provided in the web marketing campaign, the different advertisements being directed to products from a product catalogue based upon the interests of the individual currently viewing the web marketing campaign as determined by the visitor intelligence module. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21)

providing a web content management application via a web site, the web content management application coupled to a web server associated with the web site, the web content management application adapted to maintain a global marketing framework indicative of a marketing campaign; automatically generating a web marketing campaign from at least a portion of the global marketing framework via the web server by inheriting portions of the global marketing framework such that branding and messaging content remains consistent, wherein the web marketing campaign is tailored for a country based on language and an appearance of the web marketing campaign is tailored based on marketing data for the country, the web marketing campaign comprising object models with inheritance; generating a graphical user interface that comprises a plurality of block icons representing web marketing campaigns, the web marketing campaign being one of the web marketing campaigns represented by the plurality of block icons, wherein the plurality of block icons are connected by arrows that are indicative of relationships of the plurality of web marketing campaigns relative to one another; gathering, via the web server, marketing data from at least one of the web server associated with the web marketing campaign and consumer devices accessing the web marketing campaign, the marketing data including information indicative of interests of consumers for products or services; storing the marketing data in a database; associating consumers together according to at least one common interest for products or services to create one or more consumer groups; and providing the one or more consumer groups to at least one marketing content author.
