First Claim
1. An information processing device, comprising:
- circuitry configured to provide information to a user, the information defining a graphical user interface for creating a new video by combining multiple video clips, whereinthe graphical user interface comprises a first area to display a plurality of images, each image representing a corresponding video clip;
the graphical user interface comprises a second area to display a video being played back; and
the graphical user interface comprises a third area to display a single video track that includes at least two video clips in an order of playback, and the single video track is used to create the new video from the at least two video clips,wherein the circuitry is further configured to;
provide the information defining the graphical user interface, which provides for automatically trimming of a video clip of the at least two video clips by designating a start position and an end position only by positioning a start graphical pointer at the start position and positioning an end graphical pointer at the end position, andselect one text display effect item from a plurality of text display effect items, wherein the selected text display effect item is added to one of the multiple video clips when a drag-and-drop operation is performed.

Abstract
In the present invention, image data is edited in response to a demand transmitted from a data-processing apparatus through a network. A moving-picture server (3) acquires a scenario consisting of a plurality of scenes, each lasting for a given time, is acquired in response to a demand made by a personal computer (1-1). The server acquires from a temporary edition space (6) a given number of original data items that will be used in the scenario, also in response to a demand made by the data-processing apparatus. The moving-picture server (3) selects prescribed ones of the original data items acquired and allocate them to the scenes of the scenario acquired. The server corrects the original data items selected, in accordance with the prescribed image data items that have been allocated to the scenes of the scenario. The image data is thereby edited.
