Abstract

A system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for automatically saving and presenting a state of a communication session are presented. A user interface is displayed. The user interface comprises an interface element presented in conjunction with a presentation of content. The interface element comprises: a first selectable element operable to recall a first state of the communication session and a second selectable element to hide the interface element. The display of the interface element is updated based on user input to include a third selectable element corresponding to a second state of the communication session. The display of the interface element is hidden while maintaining a presentation of the content in response to user input indicative of a selection of the second selectable element.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

one or more processors of a machine;

a non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, causes to machine to perform operations comprising;

causing display, on a client device, of a user interface comprising an interface element presented in conjunction with a presentation of content, the interface element comprising;

a first selectable element comprising an image corresponding to a first state of a communication session, the first selectable element operable to recall the first state of the communication session in response to selection of the first selectable element;

a second selectable element to hide the interface element;

in response to receiving a first user input indicative of a request to save a second state of the communication session, updating the display the interface element to include a third selectable element corresponding to the second state of the communication session; and

in response to receiving second user input indicative of an interaction with the second selectable element, hiding the display of the interface element in the user interface while maintaining the presentation of content.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the interface element further comprises a label assigned to a grouping of the first and second selectable elements.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the label assigned to the grouping is based on a user specified label.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein:

the first state of the communication session corresponds to a first item listing; and

the second state of the communication session corresponds to a second item listing.

5. The system of claim 4, wherein the operations further comprise:

causing display, on the client device, of a first set of attributes corresponding to the first item listing; and

causing display, on the client device, of a second set of attributes corresponding to the second item listing.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise providing instructions to causing the client device to present the first state of the communication session in response to selection of the first selectable element.

7. The system of claim 1,

wherein the client device is a first client device;

the operations further comprise causing a second client device to present the first state of the communication session in response to selection of the first selectable element.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the operations further comprise updating the interface element to no longer include the first selectable element.

9. A method comprising:

causing display, on a client device, of a user interface comprising an interface element presented in conjunction with a presentation of content, the interface element comprising;

a first selectable element comprising an image corresponding to a first state of a communication session, the first selectable element operable to recall the first state of the communication session in response to selection of the first selectable element;

a second selectable element to hide the interface element;

in response to receiving a first user input indicative of a request to save a second state of the communication session, updating the display the interface element to include a third selectable element corresponding to the second state of the communication session; and

in response to receiving second user input indicative of an interaction with the second selectable element, hiding the display of the interface element in the user interface while maintaining the presentation of content.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the interface element further comprises a label assigned to a grouping of the first and second selectable elements.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the label assigned to the grouping is based on a user specified label.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein:

the first state of the communication session corresponds to a first item listing; and

the second state of the communication session corresponds to a second item listing.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

causing display, on the client device, of a first set of attributes corresponding to the first item listing; and

causing display, on the client device, of a second set of attributes corresponding to the second item listing.

14. The method of claim 9, further comprising providing instructions to causing the client device to present the first state of the communication session in response to selection of the first selectable element.

15. The method of claim 9,

wherein the client device is a first client device;

the operations further comprise causing a second client device to present the first state of the communication session in response to selection of the first selectable element.

16. The method of claim 9, wherein the operations further comprise updating the interface element to no longer include the first selectable element.

17. A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium embodying instructions that, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

causing display, on a client device, of a user interface comprising an interface element presented in conjunction with a presentation of content, the interface element comprising;

a first selectable element comprising an image corresponding to a first state of a communication session, the first selectable element operable to recall the first state of the communication session in response to selection of the first selectable element;

a second selectable element to hide the interface element;

in response to receiving a first user input indicative of a request to save a second state of the communication session, updating the display the interface element to include a third selectable element corresponding to the second state of the communication session; and

in response to receiving second user input indicative of an interaction with the second selectable element, hiding the display of the interface element in the user interface while maintaining the presentation of content.

18. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 17, wherein the interface element further comprises a label assigned to a grouping of the first and second selectable elements, wherein the label assigned to the grouping is based on a user specified label.

19. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 17, wherein:

the first state of the communication session corresponds to a first item listing; and

the second state of the communication session corresponds to a second item listing.

20. The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 19, wherein the operations further comprise:

causing display, on the client device, of a first set of attributes corresponding to the first item listing; and

causing display, on the client device, of a second set of attributes corresponding to the second item listing.
