1. A method comprising:

  • receiving, by a computing device and from one or more sensors arranged in a first vehicle, data associated with vehicle types of surrounding vehicles that are within a predetermined distance of the first vehicle, wherein the vehicle types comprise a completely autonomous vehicle, a semi-autonomous vehicle, and a non-autonomous vehicle;

    generating, based on the data associated with the vehicle types of the surrounding vehicles, a property of an insurance policy for the first vehicle;

    determining a density of the surrounding vehicles;

    if the density is below a threshold, activating a teaching feature of the first vehicle, wherein the teaching feature disables one or more autonomous driving features of the first vehicle for a period of time;

    while the teaching feature is being activated, monitoring a reaction associated with a driver of the first vehicle;

    if the reaction exceeds a threshold, deactivating the teaching feature of the first vehicle; and

    updating, based on the reaction associated with the driver of the first vehicle, the property of the insurance policy.
