First Claim
1. A computer-implemented method for automatically generating a combined display of measurement data, the method comprising:
- establishing, by a mobile computing device, communication connections with a plurality of measurement devices that measure electrical or mechanical properties of physical equipment and generate measurement data, wherein the plurality of measurement devices include sensors that are placed on or near test points of the equipment, and the sensors generate the measurement data based on sensed electrical or mechanical properties of the equipment at the test points;
receiving, by the mobile computing device, measurement data generated by the plurality of measurement devices;
assigning metadata to the received measurement data, wherein the metadata includes group identifying information that associates the measurement data with other measurement data annotated with similar group identifying information;
comparing time and/or location information in the metadata of different received measurement data and determining whether the time and/or location information indicates that the different received measurement data are part of a combined measurement of the same equipment or same measured parameter of the equipment based on a proximity of the time and/or location at which the different measurement data were generated, wherein the time information in the metadata indicates a time when the measurement data was generated by the plurality of measurement devices, and the location information in the metadata indicates a physical location where the measurement data was generated by the plurality of measurement devices; and
in response to determining that the time and/or location information is indicative of measurement data that is part of a combined measurement;
automatically grouping the measurement data received from the plurality of measurement devices based on the time and/or location information in the metadata; and
automatically displaying the grouped measurement data in a combined display comprising a graph, wherein the measurement data of each measurement device is shown in the same graph, the measurement data in the same graph all sharing at least one axis of measurement.

Abstract
A computer-implemented method, system, and computer-readable medium for automatically generating a combined display of measurement data representing a combined measurement, such as a multiphase parameter, includes establishing, by a mobile computing device, communication connections with a plurality of measurement devices configured to generate measurement data. The mobile computing device receives the measurement data generated by the plurality of measurement devices, and in response to information indicative of the measurement data representing related parts of a combined measurement, the mobile computing device automatically groups the measurement data received from the measurement devices and automatically displays the grouped measurement data in a combined display that shares at least one axis of measurement. In at least one embodiment, the combined measurement is a multiphase parameter, such as a three-phase electrical parameter, and the combined display is a graph in which the measurement data shares at least one axis of measurement, such as time.
