1. A method of wirelessly delivering energy to an unmanned vehicle, the method comprising:

  • initiating a detect mode that includes;

    enabling a wireless power transmitter for a time period, wherein enabling the wireless power transmitter includes driving a first signal through a transmit charging coil to transmit wireless energy to a receive charging coil of an unmanned vehicle; and

    detecting from the first signal that the receive charging coil is positioned within a first charging distance to receive a second signal adapted for wirelessly charging a battery of the unmanned vehicle;

    navigating the un-manned vehicle based on a magnitude of the first signal, wherein navigating the un-manned vehicle includes navigating the unmanned vehicle closer to the transmit charging coil of a charging station; and

    enabling a charge mode of the wireless power transmitter in response to detecting that the receive charging coil is positioned within the first charging distance, wherein enabling the charge mode of the wireless power transmitter includes;

    driving the second signal through the transmit charging coil; and

    detecting from the second signal that the receive charging coil is positioned within a second charging distance to receive the second signal adapted for wirelessly charging the battery of the unmanned vehicle, the second charging distance being closer to the transmit charging coil relative to the first charging distance,wherein the second signal driven through the transmit charging coil has a higher electrical power than the first signal driven through the transmit charging coil.
