1. An end effector for use with a surgical stapling instrument, wherein said end effector comprises:

  • an anvil;

    a staple cartridge, comprising;

    a proximal end;

    a distal end;

    a longitudinal slot extending from said proximal end toward said distal end;

    a first row of staple cavities extending alongside said longitudinal slot on a first side of said staple cartridge, wherein each said staple cavity within said first row comprises a first staple removably positioned therein;

    a second row of staple cavities extending alongside said first row of staple cavities on said first side, wherein each said staple cavity within said second row comprises a second staple removably positioned therein;

    a third row of staple cavities extending alongside said second row of staple cavities on said first side, wherein each said staple cavity within said third row comprises a third staple removably positioned therein;

    first staple drivers, wherein each said first staple driver comprises a first cradle and a second cradle, wherein each said first cradle is configured to support one said first staple, wherein each said second cradle is configured to support one said second staple, and wherein a first distance is defined between each said first cradle and said anvil when said end effector is in a closed configuration;

    second staple drivers, wherein each said second staple driver comprises a third cradle, wherein each said third cradle is configured to support one said third staple, wherein a second distance is defined between each said third cradle and said anvil when said end effector is in said closed configuration, and wherein said first distance and said second distance are different;

    a fourth row of staple cavities extending alongside said longitudinal slot on a second side of said staple cartridge, wherein each said staple cavity within said fourth row comprises a fourth staple removably positioned therein;

    a fifth row of staple cavities extending alongside said fourth row of staple cavities on said second side, wherein each said staple cavity within said fifth row comprises a fifth staple removably positioned therein;

    a sixth row of staple cavities extending alongside said fifth row of staple cavities on said second side, wherein each said staple cavity within said sixth row comprises a sixth staple removably positioned therein;

    third staple drivers, wherein each said third staple driver comprises a fourth cradle and a fifth cradle, wherein each said fourth cradle is configured to support one said fourth staple, wherein each said fifth cradle is configured to support one said fifth staple, and wherein a third distance is defined between each said fourth cradle and said anvil when said end effector is in said closed configuration; and

    fourth staple drivers, wherein each said fourth staple driver comprises a sixth cradle, wherein each said sixth cradle is configured to support one said sixth staple, wherein a fourth distance is defined between each said sixth cradle and said anvil when said end effector is in said closed configuration, and wherein said third distance and said fourth distance are different; and

    a firing member movable toward said distal end during a staple firing stroke, wherein said firing member is configured to lift said first staple drivers, said second staple drivers, said third staple drivers, and said fourth staple drivers toward said anvil during said staple firing stroke.
