Abstract

One embodiment of the present invention provides for receiving a player identifier, transmitting the player identifier to a central server, receiving data corresponding to the player identifier from the central server, and configuring play of a casino game based on the data.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving a player identifier;

transmitting the player identifier to a central server;

receiving data corresponding to the player identifier from the central server; and

configuring play of a casino game based on the data.

2. The method of claim 1, in which receiving the player identifier comprises:

receiving a player tracking card; and

determining the player identifier based on the player tracking card.

3. The method of claim 1, in which configuring comprises:

providing a payout based on the data.

4. The method of claim 1, in which configuring comprises:

determining at least one outcome based on the data.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving an indication of at least one preference from a player.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising:

transmitting data indicating the at least one preference to the central server.

7. The method of claim 1, in which the data comprises at least one player preference.

8. The method of claim 1, in which the data comprises at least one casino preference.

9. The method of claim 1, in which the data corresponds to at least one parameter, the at least one parameter comprising at least one of:

a game type,

a language,

a sound option,

a speed of reel spins,

a number of coins played per handle pull,

a payout structure,

a payout option,

a form of complimentaries,

a currency type,

a hold percentage,

a complimentary award rate, and

a game eligibility.

10. The method of claim 1, in which the casino game is a table game.

11. The method of claim 10, in which the table game has a dealer;

and

in which configuring comprises;

displaying a message to the dealer based on the data.

12. The method of claim 1, in which play of the casino game is at a slot machine.

13. A method comprising:

receiving a player identifier from a first casino device;

determining data based on the player identifier; and

configuring play of a casino game based on the data.

14. The method of claim 13, in which configuring comprises:

transmitting the data to a second casino device.

15. The method of claim 13, in which configuring comprises:

generating at least one signal based on the data, the at least one signal operable with a second casino device to configure play of the casino game; and

transmitting the at least one signal to the second casino device.

16. The method of claim 13, in which configuring comprises:

providing a payout based on the data.

17. The method of claim 13, in which configuring comprises:

determining at least one outcome based on the data.

18. The method of claim 13, further comprising:

receiving the data; and

associating the data with the player identifier.

19. The method of claim 13, in which the data comprises at least one player preference.

20. The method of claim 13, in which the data comprises at least one casino preference.

21. The method of claim 13, in which the data corresponds to at least one parameter, the at least one parameter comprising at least one of:

a game type,

a language,

a sound option,

a speed of reel spins,

a number of coins played per handle pull,

a payout structure,

a payout option,

a form of complimentaries,

a currency type,

a hold percentage,

a complimentary award rate, and

a game eligibility.

22. The method of claim 13, in which the first casino device is a slot machine.

23. The method of claim 13, in which the first casino device is a card reader.

24. The method of claim 13, in which the casino game is a table game.

25. The method of claim 24, in which the table game has a dealer;

and

in which configuring comprises;

displaying a message to the dealer based on the data.

26. A method comprising:

determining a player identifier that identifies a player;

receiving preference data;

associating the player identifier with the preference data;

receiving the player identifier from a casino device;

determining the preference data based on the player identifier;

generating at least one signal based on the preference data, the at least one signal being operable with the casino device to configure play of a casino game by the player; and

transmitting the at least one signal to the casino device.

27. The method of claim 26, in which the at least one signal is operable with the casino device to provide a payout to the player.

28. The method of claim 26, in which the at least one signal is operable with the casino device to determine at least one outcome.

29. The method of claim 26, in which the casino device is associated with a table game.

30. The method of claim 26, in which the casino device is a slot machine.
