Abstract

A video camera recorder that includes a main camera body, a camera mount member, a first mount member and a second mount member. The camera mount member is coupled to the main camera body. The camera mount member has a camera mount track portion. The first mount member has a first mount inner surface adapted to abut a first portion of an object. The second mount member has a receiving track portion and a second mount inner surface adapted to abut a second portion of the object. The first mount member is selectively coupled to the second mount member to couple the first and second mount member around the first and second portions of the object. The receiving track portion of the second mount member is adapted to receive the camera mount track portion to selectively couple the main camera body to the second mount member.

Claims

1. A video camera recorder comprising:

a main camera body;

a camera mount member coupled to main camera body, the camera mount member having a camera mount track portion;

a first mount member having a first mount inner surface adapted to abut a first portion of an object; and

a second mount member having a receiving track portion and a second mount inner surface adapted to abut a second portion of the object, the first mount member is selectively coupled to the second mount member to couple the first and second mount member around the first and second portions of the object, the receiving track portion of the second mount member is adapted to receive the camera mount track portion to selectively couple the main camera body to the second mount member, wherein the main camera body is selectively coupled to the object.

2. The video camera recorder of claim 1, wherein the object is a barrel of a firearm.

3. The video camera recorder of claim 1, wherein the object is a counter weight bar of a bow.

4. The video camera recorder of claim 1, further comprising:

a first insert selectively positioned between the inner surface of the first mount member and the first portion of the object, the first insert having a selected thickness; and

a second insert selectively positioned between the inner surface of the second mount member and the second portion of the object, the second insert having a selected thickness, wherein the thickness of the first and second insert is selected to accommodate the size of the object the first and second mount member is selectively coupled to.

5. The video camera recorder of claim 4, wherein the first and second insert are made of foam rubber.

6. The video camera recorder of claim 1, further comprising:

a locking means to selectively lock the camera mount track portion of the camera mount member in the receiving track portion of the second mount member.

7. The video camera recorder of claim 6, wherein the locking means further comprises:

the receiving track portion of the second mount member having at least one mount receiving cavity; and

the camera mount track portion of the camera mount member having at least one biased fastening button adapted to be received in the at least one mount receiving cavity when the camera mount track portion of the camera mount member is positioned at a desired location in the receiving track portion of the second mount member to lock the camera mount track portion of the camera mount member in the receiving track portion of the second mount member.

8. The video camera recorder of claim 7, further comprising:

a reverse biased release push button for each mount receiving cavity in the second mount member having a first end and a second end, each reverse biased release push button is received in an associated mount receiving cavity so that the second end of the reverse biased release button is adjacent an associated biased fastening button when the camera mount member is locked in the second mount member, wherein depressing the first end of one of the at least one reversed biased release button causes the second end of the reversed biased release button to force an associated biased fastening button out of an associated receiving cavity, further wherein when each of the at least one biased fasting button is forced out of its associated mount receiving cavity the camera mount member is unlocked from the second mount member.

9. A video camera housing with an attachment system, the video camera housing comprising:

an object mount member adapted to mount to an object, the object mount member having a first surface, the first surface having a receiving track portion that extends a length of the mount member;

a camera mount member coupled to a video camera housing, the camera mount member having a track portion, the track portion extending a length of the camera mount member, the track portion further adapted to be selectively received in the receiving track portion of the second mount member, wherein the video camera housing is selectively coupled to the object when the track portion of the camera mount member is received in the receiving track portion of the mount member; and

a button release locking means to selectively lock and unlock the track portion of the camera mount member in the receiving track portion of the mount member.

10. The video camera housing of claim 9, wherein the object is a barrel of a firearm.

11. The video camera housing of claim 9, wherein the object is a counterweight bar of a bow.

12. The video camera housing of claim 9, wherein the object mount member further comprises:

a first mount member having a first surface, the first surface having outer portions and an inner portion, the inner portion of the first surface is adapted to abut a first portion of the object; and

a second mount member having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the first surface having outer portions and an inner portion, the inner portion of the first surface adapted to abut a second portion of the object, the outer portions of the first surface are adapted to be selectively coupled to the outer portions of the first surface of the first mount member, wherein the first and second mount member are selectively coupled around the object.

13. The video camera housing of claim 12, further comprising:

a first insert selectively positioned between the inner portion of the first surface of the first mount ember and the first portion of the object, the first insert having a select thickness; and

a second insert selectively positioned between the inner portion of the first surface of the second mount member ant the second portion of the object, the second insert having a select thickness, wherein the thickness of the first and second insert is selected to accommodate the size of the object the first and second mount member is selectively coupled to.

14. The video camera housing of claim 9, wherein the button release locking means further comprises:

the receiving track portion of the mount member having at least one mount receiving cavity; and

the track portion of the camera mount member having at least one biased fastening button adapted to be received in the at least one mount receiving cavity when the track portion of the camera mount member is positioned at a desired location in the receiving track portion of the second mount member to lock the track portion of the camera mount member in the receiving track portion of the second mount member.

15. The video camera housing of claim 14, further comprising:

a reverse biased release push button for each mount receiving cavity in the mount member having a first end and a second end, each reverse biased release push button is received in an associated mount receiving cavity so that the second end of the reverse biased release button is adjacent an associated biased fastening button when the camera mount member is locked in the mount member, wherein depressing the first end of one of the at least one reversed biased release button causes the second end of the reversed biased release button to force an associated biased fastening button out of an associated receiving cavity, further wherein when each of the at least one biased fasting button is forced out of its associated mount receiving cavity the camera mount member is unlocked from the mount member and the track of the camera mount member can be removed from the receiving track member of the mount member.

17. The video camera housing of claim 15, further comprising:

a first insert selectively positioned between the inner surface of the first mount member and the first portion of the firearm, the first insert having a selected thickness; and

a second insert selectively positioned between the inner surface of the second mount member and the second portion of the firearm, the second insert having a selected thickness, wherein the thickness of the first and second insert is selected to accommodate the size of the firearm barrel the first and second mount member is selectively coupled to.

18. The video camera housing of claim 17, wherein the first and second insert are made of foam rubber.

19. The video camera housing of claim 16, further comprising:

the receiving track portion of the second mount member having at least one mount receiving cavity; and

the camera mount track portion of the camera mount member having at least one biased fastening button adapted to be received in the at least one mount receiving cavity when the camera mount track portion of the camera mount member is positioned at a desired location in the receiving track portion of the second mount member to lock the camera mount track portion of the camera mount member in the receiving track portion of the second mount member.

20. The video camera housing of claim 19 further comprising:

a reverse biased release push button for each mount receiving cavity in the second mount member having a first end and a second end, each reverse biased release push button is received in an associated mount receiving cavity so that the second end of the reverse biased release button is adjacent an associated biased fastening button when the camera mount member is locked in the second mount member, wherein depressing the first end of one of the at least one reversed biased release button causes the second end of the reversed biased release button to force an associated biased fastening button out of an associated receiving cavity, further wherein when each of the at least one biased fasting button is forced out of its associated mount receiving cavity the camera mount member is unlocked from the second mount member and the track of the camera mount member can be removed from the receiving track member of the mount member.

16. A video camera housing with an attachment system, the video camera housing comprising:

a main camera body;

a camera mount member coupled to main camera body, the camera mount member having a camera mount track portion;

a first mount member having a first mount inner surface adapted to abut a first portion of a barrel of a firearm; and

a second mount member having a receiving track portion and a second mount inner surface adapted to abut a second portion of the barrel of the firearm, the first mount member is selectively coupled to the second mount member to couple the first and second mount member around the first and second portions of the barrel of the firearm, the receiving track portion of the second mount member is adapted to receive the camera mount track portion to selectively couple the main camera body to the second mount member, wherein the main camera body is selectively coupled to the barrel of the firearm.
