Abstract

The aim of the invention is to provide prior art equipment, especially for firemen, in the form of helmets (2) and/or breathing masks (3) with a display unit for infrared images. A mask (6) for displaying images on a display (20) is provided, whereby the images are recorded by a camera (13). The inventive mask comprises a frame (18) having a seal (17) that, when the mask (6) is used, rests on an assigned bearing surface (5), e.g. the visor (5) of a breathing mask (3), in such a way that a sealed chamber (19) is formed between the mask (6) and the bearing surface (5).

Claims

1. Device for display of images recorded with a camera (13), on a screen (20, 34), characterized by a frame (18, 35) which surrounds the screen (28, 34) and on which there is a seal (17) which when the device (6, 31) is being used adjoins an assigned contact surface (5) so that a closed space (19) is formed between the device (6,31) and the contact surface (5).

2. Device as claimed in claim 1, wherein it is connected via a connection (15, 33) to a mounting means (7) for attachment to a helmet (2).

3. Device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the connection (15, 33) is movable.

4. Device as claimed in claim 3, wherein the connection (15) is spring-elastic.

5. Device as claimed in one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the mounting means (7) can be clamped tightly to the helmet (2) via at least one elastic means (9) or means (9) of variable length.

6. Device as claimed in one of claims 2 to 5, wherein the mounting means (7) is made essentially Y-shaped and can be suspended via hooks (21, 24) on the edge (22, 25) of the helmet (2).

7. Device as claimed in one of claims 2 to 5, wherein the mounting means (7) comprises a shell which is matched to the helmet (2) and into which the camera (13) is preferably integrated.

8. Device as claimed in one of claims 2 to 7, wherein the camera (13) is attached to the mounting means (7).

9. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the contact surface (5) is the lens of a breathing mask (3) or a helmet.

10. Device as claimed in claim 9, wherein it can be attached to the breathing mask (3) via attachment means (30).

11. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 10, wherein the screen (20) is partially transparent.

12. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 11, wherein the seal (17) is attached interchangeably to the frame (18).

13. Device as claimed in one of claims 1 to 12, wherein it comprises a mask (6), within the frame (18) of which there is at least one screen (20).

14. Device as claimed in one of claims 2 to 12, wherein there are two screens (34) which each are surrounded by a frame (35) with a seal and are located in the field of vision of the eye and wherein the frames (35) are attached to a clip-shaped connection (32).
