a) contacting said sample with a composition comprising a population of microspheres comprising at least 500 subpopulations, wherein each subpopulation comprises a bioactive agent;
b) adding a plurality of decoding binding ligands to said population of microspheres to identify at least 500 of the bioactive agents; and
