Abstract

A user interface provided for helping a consumer interact with a company, its products or services, such as conducting a business-related action and/or transaction, by interacting with a functionally identified functional component(s) on a wireless device. The functional component is functionally identified via the company'"'"'s mark, including logos, trademarks, brand, name, etc. In addition, the invention provides for a method for gaming, wagering, betting, gambling, and/or lottery play through a wireless device interface by strategic placement of functional identifiers in or on components of a wireless device and a method of using the interface.

Claims

1. A user interface for wireless devices comprising:

a functional identifier associated with a mark of a company applied to a functional component of a wireless device for permitting a user to interact with the company for the purpose of making a transaction including gaming, gambling, wagering, and/or lottery play without requiring additional user action.

2. The interface according to claim 1 wherein the functional identifier is a mark.

3. The interface according to claim 1 wherein the functional identifier is a logo.

4. The interface according to claim 1 wherein the functional identifier is a trademark.

5. The interface according to claim 1 wherein the functional component is a physical component located on the wireless device.

6. The interface according to claim 1 wherein the functional component is a function button.

7. The interface according to claim 6 wherein the functional identifier is applied on a surface of the button.

8. The interface according to claim 6 wherein the functional identifier is applied underneath a surface of the button.

9. The interface according to claim 1 wherein the functional component is an electronic display.

10. The interface according to claim 9 wherein the functional identifier is displayed electronically on the electronic display.

11. The interface according to claim 1, wherein a personal identifier is entered or registered on the device prior to any transaction occurring.

12. The interface according to claim 11, wherein the personal identifier is required to be entered by the user of the device prior to each transaction.

13. The interface according to claim 11, wherein the personal identifier is a biometric identifier that is associated with only one user.

14. A device for facilitating mobile gaming comprising:

a wireless communication device having at least one functional component included therein, each of the at least one functional components associated with a corresponding transaction for permitting a user to engage in gaming, gambling, wagering, and/or lottery play;

a user interface having at least one functional identifier associated with a corresponding at least one mark of a corresponding at least one company applied to the functional component of the wireless device for permitting the user to interact with the company for the purpose of making a transaction including gaming, gambling, wagering, and/or lottery play without requiring additional user action.

15. A method for using a user interface on a wireless device comprising the step of the user activating a functional component of the wireless device corresponding to a functional identifier associated with a mark of a company for permitting the user to interact with the company for the purpose of gaming, gambling, wagering, and/or lottery play without requiring additional user action.
