Transmittance and receiving method of an internet facsimile system
First Claim
1. A transmittance method of a Internet facsimile system, the Internet facsimile system comprising a telephone network, a transmitting network, a server and an office machine, the server having therein a network interface and a memory unit, the office machine comprising a data storage means and a network interface, wherein the office machine sends a fax through the telephone network and establishes a connection with the server through the transmitting network, and wherein the storage means has a memory capacity much less than that of the memory unit, the method comprising following steps:
- (a) first, scanning paper documents by a user from the office machine;
(b) a scanned image data then transmitted to the storage means;
(c) a transmitting signal and the scanned image data are transmitted to the memory unit of the server through the transmitting network;
(d) after a paper document transmittance accomplished and the server completely stores the data, the storage means turns to access the data and signal stored in the server, and obtain a fax number;
(e) the office machine is then activated to start sending a fax and dial the fax number, the storage means sends the paper documents out to a receiving end and at the same time, accesses the data and signal stored in the server; and
(f) after finishing printing, the data and signal stored in the server are erased and complete a sending action.

Abstract
A transmittance and receiving method of Internet facsimile system The Internet facsimile system includes a telephone network, a transmitting network, a server and an office machine. The server has therein a network interface and a memory unit. The office machine includes a data storage means and network interface. The office machine sends a fax through the telephone network and establishes connection with the server through the transmitting network. The storage means has a memory capacity much less than that of the memory unit. Therefore, the transmittance and receiving method of Internet facsimile system capitalize on the tremendous memory capacity provided by the server as a mid-term storage such that the memory shortage of the office machine is avoided.

9. A receiving method of a Internet facsimile system, the Internet facsimile system comprising a telephone network, a transmitting network, a server and an office machine, the server having therein a network interface and a memory unit, the office machine comprising a data storage means and a network interface, wherein the office machine sends a fax through the telephone network and establishes a connection with the server through the transmitting network, and wherein the storage means has a memory capacity much less than that of the memory unit, the method comprising following steps:
-
(a) the office machine obtaining a input call sign from the telephone network;
(b) the storage means accessing a transmitted document data from the telephone network, and a transmitting signal and a image data of the transmitted document data are transmitted to the memory unit of the server through the transmitting network;
(c) after a paper document receiving accomplished and the server completely stores the transmitted document data, the storage means turns to access the transmitted document data stored in the server;
(d) the office machine is then activated to start printing a fax; and
(e) after finishing printing, the transmitted document data stored in the server is erased and completes a receiving action. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17)
