The invention concerns the use of an acid-activated layer silicate for adsorption of mycotoxins, in which layer silicate is activated with less than 10 wt %, referred to absolutely dry layer silicate of an acid at a temperature below 80° C. The invention also concerns a feed preparation and a method for feed treatment in which this mycotoxin adsorbent is used.
