Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising a compressed-air braking system. Said vehicle has two braking cylinders, which can be impinged by compressed-air from a compressed-air reserve by means of a manually actuated brake valve. The braking cylinders have ABS pressure-control valves, which can be selectively impinged by compressed air from the compressed-air reserve, using a slip control valve. A stability sensor detects a motor vehicle position and a control device selectively supplies the slip control valve and the ABS pressure-control valves with compressed air, in accordance with the signals of the stability sensor.

Claims

1. Motor vehicle having a pneumatically operated braking system,

characterized by

at least two brake cylinders (7) which can be acted upon by compressed air from a compressed air supply by way of a manually actuable brake valve (8),

the brake cylinders (7) having ABS pressure control valves (6) by means of which the compressed air can be guided from the compressed air supply selectively to the respective brake cylinder,

at least one ASR valve (9) by means of which the ABS pressure control valves (6) can be selectively acted upon by compressed air from the compressed air supply,

at least one stability sensor by means of which a vehicle position can be detected,

in addition, a control device being provided by means of which the ASR valve (9) and the ABS pressure control valves (6), as a function of the signals of the stability sensor, can be selectively acted upon by compressed air and/or can be maintained without being acted upon by compressed air.

2. Method of braking a vehicle according to claim 1,

characterized by

detecting a vehicle position in which a selected first brake cylinder (7) is to be automatically actuated by means of compressed air, while a second brake cylinder (7) is to be maintained without being acted upon by compressed air,

actuating the ASR valve (9) so that the two ABS pressure control valves (6) of the first brake cylinder (7) and the second brake cylinder (7) are acted upon by compressed air from the supply,

controlling the ABS pressure control valve (6) for the brake cylinder (7) to be actuated so that the latter is acted upon by compressed air,

controlling the ABS pressure control valve (6) for the brake cylinder (7) to be actuated so that the latter is maintained without being acted upon by compressed air.

3. Pneumatically operated braking system for a motor vehicle,

characterized by

at least two brake cylinders (7) which can be acted upon by compressed air from a compressed air supply by way of a manually actuable brake valve (8),

the brake cylinders (7) having ABS pressure control valves (6) by means of which the compressed air can be guided from the compressed air supply selectively to the respective brake cylinder,

at least one ASR valve (9) by means of which the ABS pressure control valves (6) can be selectively acted upon by compressed air from the compressed air supply,

at least one stability sensor by means of which a vehicle position can be detected,

in addition, a control device being provided by means of which the ASR valve (9) and the ABS pressure control valves (6), as a function of the signals of the stability sensor, can be selectively acted upon by compressed air and/or can be maintained without being acted upon by compressed air.
