Abstract

It is an object of the present invention to provide a highly sophisticated functional IC card that can ensure security by preventing forgery such as changing a picture of a face, and display other images as well as the picture of a face. An IC card comprising a display device and a plurality of thin film integrated circuits; wherein driving of the display device is controlled by the plurality of thin film integrated circuits; a semiconductor element used for the plurality of thin film integrated circuits and the display device is formed by using a polycrystalline semiconductor film; the plurality of thin film integrated circuits are laminated; the display device and the plurality of thin film integrated circuits are equipped for the same printed wiring board; and the IC card has a thickness of from 0.05 mm to 1 mm.

Claims

1. An IC card comprising a display device and a thin film integrated circuit, wherein:

driving of the display device is controlled by the thin film integrated circuit; and

a semiconductor element used for the thin film integrated circuit and the display device is formed by using a polycrystalline semiconductor film.

2. An IC card according to claim 1, wherein the display device is a liquid crystal display device or a light emitting device.

3. An booking-account system using the IC card according to claim 1, wherein:

money amount of a dealing by using an account in a financial institution, a date or a bank balance of the dealing is memorized in the thin film integrated circuit; and

the memorized money amount of the dealing, the date or the bank balance of the dealing is displayed in the display device.

4. An IC card comprising a display device and a thin film integrated circuit, wherein:

driving of the display device is controlled by the thin film integrated circuit;

a semiconductor element used for the thin film integrated circuit and the display device is formed by using a polycrystalline semiconductor film; and

the IC card has a thickness of from 0.05 mm to 1 mm.

5. An IC card according to claim 4, wherein the display device is a liquid crystal display device or a light emitting device.

6. An booking-account system using the IC card according to claim 4, wherein:

money amount of a dealing by using an account in a financial institution, a date or a bank balance of the dealing is memorized in the thin film integrated circuit; and

the memorized money amount of the dealing, the date or the bank balance of the dealing is displayed in the display device.

7. An IC card comprising a display device and a thin film integrated circuit, wherein:

driving of the display device is controlled by the thin film integrated circuit;

a semiconductor element used for the thin film integrated circuit and the display device is formed by using a polycrystalline semiconductor film;

the display device is a passive matrix type or an active matrix type;

the display device and the thin film integrated circuit are equipped for the same printed wiring board; and

the IC card has a thickness of from 0.05 mm to 1 mm.

8. An IC card according to claim 7, wherein the display device is a liquid crystal display device or a light emitting device.

9. An booking-account system using the IC card according to claim 7, wherein:

money amount of a dealing by using an account in a financial institution, a date or a bank balance of the dealing is memorized in the thin film integrated circuit; and

the memorized money amount of the dealing, the date or the bank balance of the dealing is displayed in the display device.

10. An IC card comprising a display device and a plurality of thin film integrated circuits, wherein:

driving of the display device is controlled by the plurality of thin film integrated circuits;

a semiconductor element used for the plurality of thin film integrated circuits and the display device is formed by using a polycrystalline semiconductor film;

the plurality of thin film integrated circuits are laminated;

the display device and the plurality of thin film integrated circuits are equipped for the same printed wiring board; and

the IC card has a thickness of from 0.05 mm to 1 mm.

11. An IC card according to claim 10, wherein thicknesses of the plurality of thin film integrated circuits are each from 1 μ

m to 5 μ

m.

12. An IC card according to claim 10, wherein the display device is a liquid crystal display device or a light emitting device.

13. An booking-account system using the IC card according to claim 10, wherein:

money amount of a dealing by using an account in a financial institution, a date or a bank balance of the dealing is memorized in the thin film integrated circuit; and

the memorized money amount of the dealing, the date or the bank balance of the dealing is displayed in the display device.
