Abstract

A beverage filter assembly, including a frame having a plurality of openings passing therethrough; and a wire cloth filter disposed within the frame.

Claims

1. A beverage filter assembly, comprising:

a frame having a plurality of openings passing therethrough; and

a wire cloth filter disposed within the frame.

2. The assembly of claim 1, further comprising:

a diffuser disposed in the wire cloth filter.

3. The assembly of claim 2, wherein the diffuser sits in the wire cloth filter, and is removable from the wire cloth filter.

4. The assembly of claim 2, wherein the diffuser is integral to the bottom of the frame.

5. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the wire cloth filter is made of stainless steel.

6. The assembly of claim 5, wherein the wire cloth filter is gold plated.

7. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the wire cloth filter has a density of at least 325 strands per square inch.

8. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the wire cloth filter has a density of at least 375 strands per square inch.

9. The assembly of claim 2, wherein at least a portion of the diffuser is conical.

10. The assembly of claim 2, wherein at least a portion of the diffuser is rounded.

11. The assembly of claim 9, wherein the diffuser is spherical.

12. The assembly of claim 1, further comprising:

a floating member attached to the frame.

13. The assembly of claim 1, further comprising:

a lid attached to a top of the frame.

14. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the wire cloth filter only contacts the frame at the top of the wire cloth filter.

15. The assembly of claim 1, further comprising:

a flow regulator on the bottom of the frame.

16. The assembly of claim 15, wherein the flow regulator comprises a rotatable portion of the frame that varies the dimensions of the plurality of openings at the bottom of the frame.

17. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the wire cloth filter is shaped as a flattened bag, further comprising:

a plurality of diffusers disposed in the wire cloth filter.

18. The assembly of claim 17, wherein the plurality of diffusers are disposed on a generally planar base inserted into the wire cloth filter.

19. The assembly of claim 18, wherein the diffusers are rounded.

20. The assembly of claim 18, wherein the frame is box-shaped.

21. The assembly of claim 1, wherein the frame is a sleeve, and the wire cloth filter is suspended within the sleeve;

further comprising;

a rounded diffuser sitting within the wire cloth filter.

22. The assembly of claim 21, wherein the frame further comprises:

a top with a diffuser therein.

23. The assembly of claim 1, further comprising:

an inner frame disposed within the wire cloth filter.

24. The assembly of claim 23, wherein the frame, the inner frame, and the wire cloth filter are spherical.

25. The assembly of claim 1, further comprising:

a retrieving cord attached to the frame.

26. The assembly of claim 1, further comprising:

a handle attached to the frame.

27. A drinking straw assembly, comprising:

a drinking straw;

a wire cloth filter disposed at an end of the drinking straw; and

a frame having a plurality of openings passing therethrough disposed around the wire cloth filter.

28. A beverage lid assembly, comprising:

a lid;

an air inlet passing through the lid;

a fluid outlet passing through the lid; and

a wire cloth filter covering the fluid outlet.
