Abstract

Disclosed are a resin composition comprising a polylactic acid resin and a polyacetal resin, and such a resin composition in which the polylactic acid resin and the polyacetal resin are kept miscible with each other. The resin composition has good moldability, workability, mechanical properties, heat resistance and transparency, and may be worked into moldings, films and fibers for practical use.

Claims

1. A resin composition comprising from more than 60 parts by weight to 99 parts by weight of a polylactic acid resin and from 1 part by weight to less than 40 parts by weight of a polyacetal resin relative to 100 parts by weight of the total of the polylactic acid resin and the polyacetal resin.

11. The resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10, wherein the polylactic acid resin and the polyacetal resin are kept miscible with each other.

12. The resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10, of which the glass transition temperature is lower than that of the polylactic acid resin alone.

13. The resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10, of which the polyacetal resin-derived crystallization temperature at cooling is lower than that of the polyacetal resin alone.

14. The resin composition of any of claims 1, 3 to 5 or 8 to 10, of which the formaldehyde content is smaller than 500 ppm relative to the polyacetal resin.

15. The resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10, wherein the L-isomer content is at least 95% or D-isomer content is at least 95% in the total lactic acid component of the polylactic acid resin.

16. The resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10, wherein the polyacetal resin is a polyacetal copolymer.

17. The resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10, which may form a substantially transparent film having a thickness of 100 mm.

18. The resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10, which may form a film having a thickness of 100 mm and having a light transmittance of at least 90% and a haze of at most 50%.

20. A molding of the resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10.

21. A film of the resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10.

22. A fiber of the resin composition of any of claims 1 to 5 or 8 to 10.

2. A resin composition comprising from 40 to 60 parts by weight of a polylactic acid resin and from 40 to 60 parts by weight of a polyacetal resin relative to 100 parts by weight of the total of the polylactic acid resin and the polyacetal resin and of which the formaldehyde content is smaller than 500 ppm relative to the polyacetal resin.

3. A resin composition comprising from 1 part by weight to less than 40 parts by weight of a polylactic acid resin and more than 60 parts by weight to 99 parts by weight of a polyacetal resin relative to 100 parts by weight of the total of the polylactic acid resin and the polyacetal resin.

4. A resin composition comprising a polylactic acid resin, a polyacetal resin and a crystallization promoter.

5. A resin composition comprising a polylactic acid resin, a polyacetal resin and any other thermoplastic resin.

6. The resin composition as claimed in claim 5, wherein the other thermoplastic resin is an impact modifier.

7. The resin composition as claimed in claim 5, wherein the other thermoplastic resin is at least one selected from acrylic resin, polyester resin except polylactic acid, and polyamide resin.

8. A resin composition comprising a polylactic acid, a polyacetal resin and a reinforcement.

9. A resin composition comprising a polylactic acid resin, a polyacetal resin, and at least one selected from a stabilizer and a mold release agent.

10. A resin composition comprising a polylactic acid resin, a polyacetal resin and a carboxyl group-reactive end-capping agent that are kneaded in melt.
