Abstract

A method and system for providing a risk assessment are disclosed. The method includes receiving intelligence from at least one intelligence source, and generating a risk assessment report based on the intelligence.

Claims

1. A global asset risk management system comprising:

at least one intelligence source; and

an analysis engine configured to provide a risk assessment report.

2. The global risk management system of claim 1, further comprising at least one asset information source, wherein the analysis engine is configured to provide the risk assessment report based on input from the at least one intelligence source and the at least one asset information source.

3. The global risk management system of claim 1, wherein the analysis engine is further configured to provide the risk assessment report using a content identification segment.

4. The global asset risk management system of claim 1, further comprising a risk mitigation toolbox coupled to the analysis engine and configured to identify related intelligence maintained using the at least one intelligence source and related information maintained using the at least one asset information source.

5. The global asset risk management system of claim 4, wherein the risk mitigation toolbox further includes a notification system that distributes notification messages according to a set of business rules that include an escalation mechanism.

6. The global asset risk management system of claim 2, wherein the asset information includes geographic location information.

7. The global asset risk management system of claim 6, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of Global Positioning System coordinates associated with an asset.

8. The global asset risk management system of claim 6, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of coordinates for a geographic information system associated with an asset.

9. The global asset risk management system of claim 6, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a fixed asset.

10. The global asset risk management system of claim 6, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a shipping container.

11. The global asset risk management system of claim 6, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a person.

12. The global asset risk management system of claim 1, wherein the intelligence includes geocodes.

13. The global risk management system of claim 1, wherein the risk assessment report includes a graphical user interface further comprising:

a first graphical artifact representing an intelligence event;

a second graphical artifact representing an asset; and

a geofence representing a threat boundary.

14. A global asset risk management method comprising:

receiving intelligence from at least one intelligence source; and

generating a risk assessment report based on the intelligence.

15. The global asset risk management method of claim 14, further comprising receiving asset information from at least one asset information source.

16. The global asset risk management method of claim 15, further comprising identifying related intelligence and asset information, wherein the related intelligence is maintained using the at least one intelligence source and the related asset information is maintained using the at least one asset information source.

17. The global asset risk management method of claim 14, wherein generating the risk assessment report includes using a content identification segment.

18. The global asset risk management method of claim 15, wherein the asset information includes geographic location information.

19. The global asset risk management method of claim 18, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of Global Positioning System coordinates associated with an asset.

20. The global asset risk management method of claim 18, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of coordinates for a geographic information system associated with an asset.

21. The global asset risk management method of claim 14, wherein the intelligence includes geocodes.

22. The global asset risk management method of claim 14, further comprising sending critical event notification messages to users according to a set of business rules that include an escalation mechanism.

23. The global asset risk management method of claim 18, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a fixed asset.

24. The global asset risk management method of claim 18, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a shipping container.

25. The global asset risk management method of claim 18, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a person.

26. The global risk management method of claim 14, wherein generating the risk assessment report further comprises:

outputting a map page to a user, the map page including a graphical user interface;

representing an intelligence event using a first graphical artifact;

representing an asset using a second graphical artifact; and

representing a threat boundary using a geofence.

27. A global asset risk management system comprising:

at least one travel intelligence source;

at least one asset information source; and

an analysis engine coupled to the at least one travel intelligence source and the at least one asset information source, the analysis engine configured to provide a risk assessment report using a content identification segment.

28. The global asset risk management system of claim 27, further comprising a risk mitigation toolbox configured to identify related intelligence maintained using the at least one travel intelligence source and related information maintained using the at least one asset information source.

29. The global asset risk management system of claim 28, wherein the risk mitigation toolbox further includes a notification system that distributes notification messages according to a set of business rules that include an escalation mechanism.

30. The global asset risk management system of claim 27, wherein the asset information includes geographic location information.

31. The global asset risk management system of claim 30, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of Global Positioning System coordinates associated with an asset.

32. The global asset risk management system of claim 30, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of coordinates for a geographic information system associated with an asset.

33. The global asset risk management system of claim 30, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a fixed asset.

34. The global asset risk management system of claim 30, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a shipping container.

35. The global asset risk management system of claim 30, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a person.

36. The global asset risk management system of claim 27, wherein the travel intelligence includes geocodes.

37. The global risk management system of claim 27, wherein the risk assessment report includes a graphical user interface further comprising:

a first graphical artifact representing an intelligence event;

a second graphical artifact representing an asset; and

a geofence representing a threat boundary.

38. A global asset risk management method comprising:

receiving travel intelligence from at least one travel intelligence source;

receiving asset information from at least one asset information source;

generating a risk assessment report using a content identification segment based on the travel intelligence and the asset information; and

identifying related intelligence and asset information, wherein the related intelligence is maintained using the at least one travel intelligence source and the related asset information is maintained using the at least one asset information source.

39. The global asset risk management method of claim 38, wherein the asset information includes geographic location information.

40. The global asset risk management method of claim 38, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of Global Positioning System coordinates associated with an asset.

41. The global asset risk management method of claim 39, wherein the geographic location information includes a set of coordinates for a geographic information system associated with an asset.

42. The global asset risk management method of claim 39, wherein the travel intelligence includes geocodes.

43. The global asset risk management method of claim 38, further comprising sending critical event notification messages to users according to a set of business rules that include an escalation mechanism.

44. The global asset risk management method of claim 39, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a fixed asset.

45. The global asset risk management method of claim 39, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a shipping container.

46. The global asset risk management method of claim 39, wherein the geographic location information is associated with a person.

47. The global risk management method of claim 38, wherein generating the risk assessment report further comprises:

outputting a map page to a user, the map page including a graphical user interface;

representing an intelligence event using a first graphical artifact;

representing an asset using a second graphical artifact; and

representing a threat boundary using a geofence.
