Abstract

An interior design system of the present disclosure can comprise a user interface configured to display a plurality of interior design components. The system may further comprise logic configured to receive a user selection of one of the components and display the selected component in the user interface. The logic may further be configured to receive a plurality of user inputs, via the user interface, the inputs related to characteristics of the selected component.

Claims

1. An interior design system, comprising:

a user interface configured to display a plurality of interior design components; and

logic configured to receive a user selection of one of the components and display the selected component in the user interface, the logic further configured to receive a user input, via the user interface, the input related to a characteristic of the selected component.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the logic is further configured to receive a dimension user selection, the logic further configured to size the component displayed to the user interface in accordance with the dimension received.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein the logic is further configured to display to the user interface a plurality of designs corresponding to fabric swatches, the logic further configured to receive as input from the user a desired fabric selection for the selected component.

4. The system of claim 3, wherein the logic is further configured to display the components exhibiting the desired fabric selection.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the logic is further configured to display a plurality of accessories, the logic further configured to receive from the user a desired accessory selection.

6. The system of claim 5, wherein the logic is further configured to display the desired accessory selection relative to a selected component.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the selected component is a window and the characteristics of the selected component are window treatments.

8. The system of claim 7, wherein the logic is further configured to receive at least one value indicative of dimensions relative to the window treatments.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein the logic is further configured to calculate, based upon the value, a value indicative of yardage related to the window treatments.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the logic is further configured to calculate, based upon the yardage, the cost in material for the window treatments.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein the logic is further configured to calculate labor cost associated with the window treatments.

12. An interior design method, comprising:

displaying a plurality of interior design components via a user interface;

receiving a user selection of one of the components;

displaying the selected component in the user interface; and

receiving a plurality of user inputs from a user, via the user interface, the inputs related to characteristics of the selected component.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising the steps of:

receiving a value indicative of a dimension related to the component; and

displaying the component to the user interface in accordance with the dimension received.

14. The method of claim 13, further comprising the steps of:

displaying to the user interface a plurality of designs corresponding to fabric swatches; and

receiving as input from the user a desired fabric selection for the selected component.

15. The method of claim 14, further comprising the step of displaying the component exhibiting the desired fabric selection.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising the steps of:

displaying a plurality of accessories; and

receiving from the user a desired accessory selection.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the logic is further configured to display the desired accessory selection relative to a selected component.

18. The method of claim 12, wherein the selected component is a window and the characteristics of the selected component are window treatments.

19. The method of claim 18, further comprising the step of receiving a first value indicative of dimensions relative to the window treatments.

20. The method of claim 19, further comprising the step of calculating, based upon the first value, a second value indicative of yardage related to the window treatments.

21. The method of claim 20, further comprising the step of calculating the, based upon the yardage, the cost in material for the window treatments.

22. The system of claim 21, further comprising the step of calculating a third value indicative of labor cost associated with the window treatments.

23. An interior design system, comprising:

a display screen;

a user interface comprising a workshop configured for display to the display screen;

a template of interior design components configured for display in the workshop of the user interface;

logic configured to receive measurement values, via the user interface, corresponding to a room for which design is contemplated, the measurement values corresponding to a plurality of dimensions relative to the room, the logic further configured to receive an input from a user related to a selected interior design component from the template, the logic further configured to display the component in the workshop corresponding to a position relative to the dimensions of the room.
